Khan vote

To be fair he's better than most 21 year olds out there and time is on his side, but you can't train him to have a chin so I'm still undecided.

 

I've laid off being too critical of Khan because he's young and people were expecting too much from a 21 year old but I think last night showed that his chin isn't up to the job and will be the limiting factor in how far he can go.

 

I think some of you are talking abit of ****, his chin aint great we can see that but his defence is the main problem ot his chin. Look at wlad in the heavyweights chinny as **** but he still manages to win becuase of other skills and good defence.
I fully admit if kahn doesn't get a new trainer like mayweather he isn't going to do that well but if he gets over to america and outs the owrk in and loses warren he can still make it to the top.

I think Khan will eventually fight Campbell for the WBA/IBF titles which would be a fantastic achievement for someone his age. I dont think he'd win but until he's put in with someone like that we dont know if he'll raise his game. I just think that handspeed will give anyone bother. That salvo in the 4th was very impressive.

 

Im still a fan of his regardless of the outcome of this or any fight. I think he has more talent than 99% of British fighters and will get cheer him on but give a balanced opinion of his fights. Im not in the tradition of expecting failure and writing off a fighter because he got more limelight than others.

Amir Khan as a person has let fame get to his head which is natural, hes not the first and wont be the last. He is chinny but he makes up with heart and determination. He has excellent offense but neglects defence and bounces around and doesnt plant his feet or use his jab or reach and height advantages in his fights. He is still young and while I agree with the census that a world title is probably out of reach he is still a fringe contender and just like any British fighter I would like to see him win a world title.

 

I agree with a lot that he needs to get himself a decent trainer. If he can do this and tighten up his defense then he could do well. I think the speed at which he punches and the sheer volume of punches would give any fighter trouble. Obviously the chin is a worry and the world class fighters would trouble him, but if he tightens up his defense then he might become world class.

I think he could become a world champion if he picks opponents like Hatton does.

 

I picked EURO level, not because I think he will win the european title but because he is not world class.

WBU is the best bet.

 

WBO or WBU against nobodies. FW can fill up any arena in the country so why put him in with someone who has a chance? Expect the same as he did with Hatton and Calzaghe.

 

i still think khan will be a world champion, i personally thought he was not that bad last night, i always knew it would be a war, gomez is no mug! he is a true warrior and i honestly believe he could have given any lightweight champ a good fight last night because he did not stop coming, khan is a pretty hard hitter, and gomez took the shots nearly all night

 

people talk about kahns chin? but its his defence, not many fighters could of taken a shot like that from gomez and not gone down, it was just poor defence

 

you cant compare the wbo and wbu.

 

I don't really like to say one Micky Mouse title is better than another. To me they are all the same.

 

Calzaghe, Klitschko, Haye, Pavlik are WBO champs, name me a WBU champ, theres a big big difference

100% mike if a fighter like say Bradley Pryce was fighting for the WBU title no one would care u wouldnt watch, if he was fighting for the wbo, u would defo watch and people on he would care and not slate him.

 

All of which gained proper recognition by winning one of the three proper belts.
