khan vs algeiri

I hope algieri beats him i really do, khan has been hurt by non punchers before and khan may think he can walk through algieri because of his lack of power and walk right on to something

 

Why do you dislike Khan? Just wandering because a lot of people do on here, and wanted to be given a decent reason for that?

 

Really disappointed with this fight.
Was actually looking forward to Khan v Broner but not this.
Seems a waste of time especially since he's only fighting twice a year.

 

I dont hate khan and i enjoy his fights and ill agree he is a good fighter but i just dont like they way he acts as if he is entitled to fmj and pac. He needs to imo beat one of thurman, brook or even a rios or chavez or bradley. Alexander was a good win and he needs to add to that and algieri is a big step down and wont help his chances to get fmj and pac yet he will spew out bs claing what a great fight it is

 

Beating thurman would i think get him that big fight.

 

You say you don't hate him yet you say you really do hope Algieri beats him? Hmmmm........ He chases the fights because Mayweather guaranteed him the fight, said he would fight him and Pacquiao has done the same too. Chaves is worse than Algieri in my opinion, don't rate him very highly and he is also a serious step down from Alexander to, so you contradict yourself there. He would get slated for Bradley because he doesn't punch, Rios isn't seen as one of the top guys and he would get slated for that, Thurman has only just fought so I cant see him being in the ring until the start of Ramadan so that rules him out, he does seem to be avoiding the Brook fight slightly but even that may interfere with Ramadan, not sure on the dates to be honest.

Bradley would have been my choice for an opponent personally, that would have made for a great fight and I think that would be down to Bradley more than Khan as to why that didn't happen

 

If i choose one fighter over another doesnt mean i hate him do you hate algieri then?
Chaves is not great but he is better than algieri at ww as is rios and they can punch and khan beats them imo and he can say i beat a boxer in alexander and now a puncher at ww. Until he beats a puncher at ww people will have doubts. I live in the Usa and those who have heard of khan say he is glass jawed and not worth considering for a big fight and have no interest in him vs fmj

 

No but to say you really do hope he beats him when I am assuming you are British being as you are on the British boxing forum. Rios is better, Chaves not in my opinion. The thing is the few people you talk boxing with in the US don't really count for anything, no disrespect to them, but money talks and he is outside of Floyd and Pac, the next biggest draw, meaning he will get the big fights so he can take these fights.

 

This fight is simply awful, Algieiri is one of the worst champions ive seen in god knows how many years. Algieri is extremely 1 dimensional, possibly the luckiest man in boxing, done many a favour by being over hyped by Top Rank and HBO. They made out he had a better jab than De La Hoya and his fight with Pacquiao was 50/50.

Struggled badly with the crude slugger Provodnikov and got a gift which earned him a fight with Pacquiao which he got his ass handed to him for every second of every round. This in turn earns him a fight with Khan, he will probably get Cotto next!!!

Shame on Khan for even toying with the idea he was fighting Broner, Bradley or Cotto. This is a disgraceful opponent and blatant duck.

 

The same could be said for Kell Brook couldn't it to achive a fight with the top two he needs to beat a proven world class welter , but to say you don't rate him either tells me you know nothing about boxing **** sake he a Olympic silver medallist and world champion whos fought excellent opposition, get a life mate

 

Rios would look like a RTA if he were to fight Amir, hed simple walk onto everything and very regularly

 

The fight is Amir v Kell for the bragging rights, lets hope boxing politics don't get in the way

 

Billy just because Khan gave you an autograph last year you don't have to defend him all the time. Call it like it is, Khan is a world class fighter fighting another poor opponent of late. Collazo, Molina,Diaz,Algieri are not fights a world class welterweight should be fighting.
