Khan has opted to fight Chris Algieri in his next fight. There were other fighters available to fight Khan, 3 of which challenged him (Broner, Brook and Bradley). Taking into account that Khan wishes to fight Mayweather/ Pac in the future and the opponents available to fight Khan, are you happy with Khan's choice to fight Algieri.

I personally think Khan picked Algieri because it is almost a guaranteed win for Khan. Most of the top WW contenders are 50/50 fights for Khan and a loss now kills any chance of ever fighting Mayweather. Beating Algieri is not a major achievement, it is a step backwards for Khan, Alexander is far better and more established than Algieri.

Sorry guys this was meant to be a simple question but I couldn't help myself from ranting about this awful cherry pick.

It does look like a cherry pick and suspect chin aside I do think Khan will win but I wouldn't mind seeing Algieri against a world class opponent one more time at least as I think he has more to offer and of course Khan is hoping to stop him so he can make the comparison against Pacquiao. Incidentally - if Chris is let out of the cage - I don't think Khan will stop him and might get frustrated into making mistakes whilst looking for the KO. For Algieri a win, especially an empathic one, is a chance to really make a statement and avoid becoming a gatekeeper.

As for the other opponents Brook would KO Khan as might Broner and Bradley would completely outbox him.

voted no for Algeiris sake, another devasting and knockout loss this time might end him I really like him as a fighter aswell he should have tried to fight Maidana or Broner so he would have a chance. Good good fight for Khan though

Some people on here even think Algieri will win. It would be great to hear from them.

The brook fight would be huge and probably make more money for khan than fighting floyd.

Anyone who is happy with this fight, needs their brain surgically removed and have the curry washed out.

    Gaymon be gayin'.

Additionally, Algieri could even pull the upset, and outjab Khan. That would be epic, and the graveston on Khan's grave.

I've enjoyed Khan's last 2 fights and have been looking forward to seeing him fight again as I like his new style. But even I won't bother tuning in for this fight, it's utterly pointless, no risk, no reward and won't get him any closer to a Mayweather fight. It won't even show case his full range of skills, or force him to try anything different, it will be a glorified sparring session.

Khan that got KOed by Prescott would still probably beat Algieri because of the style match up. They might as well just get it over and done with and just give Khan the win, why bother fighting we all know what the result will be. Khan wide UD maybe even a shut out.

I'm becoming very frustrated with Khan. I went from a hater to a possible fan due to him fixing many of his flaws but this blatant cherry picked opponent just highlights all that is wrong with boxing and with Khan's approach to his career.
