I think Kell would do a number on him. We'll find out eventually.

Yes he did lose clearly but he didn't make life easy for Khan in there. Khan was stunned numerous times, had to hold on and literally had to fight to the very end to secure the win. Had he gotten careless, he would've been in serious trouble.

Garcia's last fight was a Welterweight Catchweight and has zero notable wins at Welterweight when compared to Hatton who fought and beat a Champion in a tough close fight. There was demand for Mayweather vs Garcia?, seriously?. I don't remember anyone, including Garcia, calling for this fight to happen. I find it even more comical that Garcia's last fight was over a year ago yet you're still arguing it would be a bigger fight than Mayweather-Khan.

Garcia vs Salka had a far better undercard than Khan vs Algieri. It was also promoted and advertised far better than Khan vs Algieri. No one's denying that Garcia has a big name, but he's not eligible to fight Mayweather. If anything, Mayweather will get a lot of heat from literally everyone for taking this fight. I believe you, in this thread all alone, have called for Garcia to fight Mayweather more than Garcia himself did.

Are you seriously comparing Mayweather vs Hatton's numbers in 2007 to how numbers are looked at today(nearly a decade later)?. And you say I need to evaluate situations?. Mayweather vs Hatton's numbers were a massive success back then and were publicly recognized as such. How in the hell would Garcia sell this fight when he himself hasn't been active and hasn't created any buzz, not vocally nor physically in the ring?.

Lost clearly? He lost every round on 2 of the judges cards and was put down 3 times. Some "serious challenge"

Garcia's last fight was over a year ago? And here's little old me thinking he fought Lamont Peterson less than 2 months ago  Garcia has fought 3 times in the last 15 months

So after you accuse me of making ridiculous, baseless statements because the Khan fight was only announced 6 (you said 4, you were wrong) before the event and I pointed out that Garcia-Salka was announced 5 weeks before the event you change your tack and say that the undercard was better? Please, tell me about how Lamont-Santana and Jacobs-Fletcher are better fights than Fortuna-Vasquez?

Like I've said I don't know how many times by now... I'm not calling for either fight. I'm just helping you understand why Garcia would do better PPV numbers than Khan.

You're just missing the boat, here. Floyd would "get a lot of heat" if he signed to fight Oscar next, doesn't mean it wouldn't do a gazillion buys

I'm not talking about the likelihood or quality of either matchup. I'm strictly talking numbers and Garcia would outsell Khan in the US. If Floyd could get a chunk of British TV revenue he could make that up in a Khan fight. But the initial point was which fight would sell more US PPVs and the answer is Garcia.

Yes he was a serious challenge. Didn't he test Khan?, didn't he hurt him numerous times?, didn't he have him holding on more than he has ever done prior to this fight?.

If we're going to look at back tracking, lets take a look at your history after making comments such as "Garcia accomplished more at Welterweight compared to Hatton", "JMM wasn't a big enough fight compared to Garcia, he had to move up 2 weight divisions!", "Mayweather vs Hatton's PPV buys were bad!", "Khan didn't look good in his last fight!" yet Garcia looked great, right?. Do you even realize or acknowledge that it was the Khan victory that plummeted Garcia's name value and general recognition?. Better yet, is Garcia himself even interested in this fight?. Have we heard ANYTHING from him lately?. Khan is creating more buzz lately both with his comments and his Welterweight resume, that's what counts the most.

After a long list of odd comments from you, I honestly can't blame myself for saying Garcia-Peterson happened over a year ago. Hell further continuation in this abnormal conversation would make me send out comments such as "Ali vs Foreman was one week ago".

He said DSG hadn't fought in over a year. I pointed out he fought less than 2 months ago and has fought 3 times in the last 15 months.

I don't think he will do better and I explained why. Garcia hasn't done much of anything worth noting lately to attract viewers. Sure, the Puerto Rican fans will be excited, but will everyone else be excited?. Again I repeat what I stated in my previous post. Do you realize that it was the Khan victory that established Garcia's name as a superstar overnight?.

The promos, advertisements, constant social media updates, interviews...etc and many more. You didn't pay attention back then to witness this?.

Instead of making up things you wish I said let's look at what I actually said...

"Garcia may not have had any fights at 147, but he's still technically had more bouts contested at WW than Hatton had before he fought Floyd. And unlike Hatton, Garcia's last 2 fights leading up to a Floyd fight would technically have been WW contests while Hatton's were both JWW fights. JMM's obviously a different case because he's a legend and an ATG but he had still never fought above 135 when he fought Floyd."

"I'm not arguing in the slightest about which fight is more likely to happen or who deserves the fight more based on his WW track record."

Never did I say Garcia was an established WW, I simply pointed out he had more fights above 140 than Hatton did when he fought Floyd. Never did I say Garcia would be a bigger fight than JMM, I just pointed him out because you said Floyd would never fight an opponent who was not established in the division. I even took care to emphasize that you couldn't compare the two due to JMM's status...

I also acknowledged that Garcia hasn't looked good in 2 of his last 3 fights.

And your take on the Collazo fight is just too funny. Have we ever seen khan hurt more times or needing to hold on more than when he beat Collazo 12-0 and knocked him down 3 times? Yes, we have, Willie f*cking Limond had him in more trouble than Collazo. I'd venture to say his fight with one Danny Garcia was another example... you're too much, man.

You're too much. Ya that Garcia-Salka fight was marketed to high heaven

And so what if the Khan fight elevated Danny? Barrera was 10 times the draw Manny was when they fought, doesn't mean much now. You know what's a very good way to earn a lot of fans in boxing? Beating someone who's a bigger star than you when you're a massive underdog. You are a loon. Garcia is the bigger star in the US by a country mile.
