So, who takes this fight? Khan or Broner. For me, Broner is not that hard to hit and hasn't been in the ring with anyone near as good, fast or strong as Amir Khan. He also doesn't have devastating power and hasn't even fought at 140 yet. For me Khan takes this comfortably now.
Khan might have a glass chin, but he have faced far superior fighters then what Broner have. But i might lean towards a Broner KO, all though Khan might aswell take a UD
Khan has the in and out style to make inroads against Broner, but I genuinely believe we will see the best of Broner at 140,and he'd have too much in the end. Funny,I was thinking last week about which style would be needed to beat Broner, and although the guy I had in mind will always be too small, stylistically a more rounded and experienced version of Carl Frampton has the style IMO. It will take someone who is comfortable on their toes and with the balance to move backwards easily.
Danny Garcia was countering Khan pretty easily. people like to pretend Khan was beating Garcia badly in the first couple of rounds and not paying attention to Garcia's shots. i can see Broner doing the same and some.. and if all else fails, he take it to the inside on him. bottom line: Khan will be unconscious before the 12th. all i invision is seeing khan getting dropped by a quick counter left.
Khan was getting tagged by Carlos Molina with left hooks throughout the fight. Let me ask, What is Broner's best punch?
Love Khan's fun style but Broner means every punch he throws and he'd have Khan skating again, by about the 6th.
Surprised you guys are picking a guy who has never displayed devastating power at 130 or 135, let alone 140 to stop a guy who's only been stopped twice in his career despite facing a hoard of big punchers.
Of course, he was fighting a blown up, slow, featherfisted Lightweight who telegraphs his punches, and squares his body up. Broner on the other hand is faster, hits SO much harder, and won't be their to be hit on a whim. The left hook will land several times on Khans chin. If Khan can stand up to the shots, he might win a decision. But history shows that it probably wont.
Think Khan might be too big for him. Broner has never fought a guy who is 5'11 and who'll come into the ring 150lbs+
