It isn't one group of fans versus the other. Nobody here has presented a cogent argument based on Khan's ACTUAL PERFORMANCE as to why he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning this fight, let alone FINISHING it!

Mayweather or being a fan of Mayweather has nothing to do with this. I can make cogent arguments as to what fighters at 154 would give Mayweather fits and why. All of it based on what Mayweather has shown in the ring or physical factors which he may not be able to overcome.

The only point you guys keep making is about speed, rangy Boxing, and size. All this about a guy who has been REPEATEDLY tracked down and stopped brutally by slow to average speed fighters. And against an opponent, Broner, who is the SAME SIZE, and blazing fast. It makes no sense!

Then why did your posts explicitly talk about 'these Khan fans'? :deal

Rico nails it above. Not much else to say. It's just a prediction.

You're going to find some people causing "The Bute Effect" here.
People are going to dislike Broner just because of the more irrational claims of some fans.
I'm quite comfortable in the knowledge that I rate Broner very highly and hope he becomes worthy of a lofty status in the future.
It concerns me that he's so terrified of fighting Floyd though.

Don't get me wrong. That analysis on his gifts alone makes perfect sense. The problem is attempting to somehow fit Khan, strengths and flaws, into being that fighter you guys are projecting to beat Broner.

I feel that Khan has all of the tools to be a problem for Broner, Mayweather, or any other "low output" fighter. The problem is that Khan has ZERO ring intelligence! That isn't a knock on you guys for recognizing his gifts, but it is acknowledging you guys aren't being honest as to how Khan applies those gifts in reality.

If we were to substitute Judah for Khan, the first thing everyone would say is, Yeah Judah has XYZ, BUT... Judah is Judah. Why does Khan seem to not draw the same realizations? :huh

Then, mother****er, why are you bringing "these Khan fans" into it?

Especially when the majority of those that have said Khan right now would win, like Shaunster and Bogotazo, are neutrals (not to mention amongst the best posters on this site). ****, you've even got one hardcore Broner fan here that hopes Broner is kept away from him.

That is exactly it. But, like Bute, apparently not buying into the hype until he has beaten a real top fighter means you don't rate him . . .

And the majority of the people who were picking Khan have all said they rate Broner highly.
    :patsch

I'm starting to think that the term 'Problem Child' is perfectly fitting.

    Again,you say "you guys"
I suspect Khan might have some early success but a lead left hook would turn the fight just before halfway.

Erm, what exactly is Khan's style? Outside fighter? Pure Boxer? Boxer Puncher? Khan has no style! He is a guy who has perfect attributes for a Pure Boxer, but ZERO ability to pick spots and conserve energy and quickly gets drawn into brawls if he thinks he is at an advantage. Both of which land him in spots that he doesn't have the inside fighting skills or physical durability to win fights. If Khan spent the next six months becoming the 140lbs version of Ivan Calderon then I might agree.

Khan has suffered against rangy punchers, crude brawlers, short reach Boxer Punchers, and had no offensive adjustments for one trick pony bend at the waist Judah. The only reason I am laughing you guys off is because you need to talk about the Khan that is rather than the Khan that is... In your head.

In what ways are Khan's Boxing style or physical attributes in any way like PDL's? What would Khan apply that PDL used to win? This is insane! This is almost as bad as you guys referencing Zab Judah as to why Mayweather would have issues with Pac.

Right on man. I am just discussing. I think everything you have said has been sound.

Much like you said, I see Khan winning some early rounds, but being stopped.

I knew I shouldn't have let you find my shoes... :hey

Neutrals? While simultaneously saying how unproven Broner is? If you guys are making the prediction? OK. Please give me one logical reason why the ACTUAL fighter wins this? You guys keep referencing a guy in your head! Khan is proven!

Best posters on the site? About Boxing? :huh If you say so. :yep

I don't see why anyone who has seen both guys fight would think that Broner would have any problems not only beating but stopping Khan. I think ANY fighter who faces Khan will lose the early rounds barring a perfect punch, but it ends the same... Khan KTFO.

I'm a big Broner fan and am not particularly keen on Khan. That said, Khan wins this for me. I don't see Broner going up to 140lbs and getting KOs that easy (yeah yeah we all know about Khan's chin...). He's only just gone up to lightweight. He's big, sure, but he won't be big anymore when he's at 140.

We have picked different sides of an issue. Tomorrow we may pick the same side of one. To be on the opposite side of an issue doesn't make you a bad person.

I am just asking for YOU GUYS to defend the position while taking into account Khan's actual performances and the physical dimensions of the guys who have beaten him. All of which Broner is within 2 inches of both height and reach.
