Interesting, but seeing as no title is on the line we'll have to see what financial penalty Brook would suffer if, on the day of the fight, he just ignored the 10llbs clause. Would Khan pull out?

Overall, I just see this as Brook being very confident of victory and leaving Khan nowhere to go in his never ending attempts to avoid this fight...

Brook is cashing out. To accept this terms is just plan dumb. Making 147 will be hard enough let alone a 10lbs re-hydration clause.

It's somewhat irritating that Khan has spun this so that he has every possible advantage going into the fight. Brook will spend a good deal of his camp making weight as oppose to real fight preparation. On top of that, Brook will be concerned about how he rehydrates come fight day.


One upside though, when Khan gets slept by Brook, he'll be bang out of excuses.....

 

Possibly you're right. I struggle to weigh up the pros and cons of this match-up. The weight concession is a big win for Khan but on the basis of his last fight he looks near shot to me. Might be the case that Brook needs to get Khan out of there within the first 6 rounds or so. But can you honestly say you think Khan has the chin to last that long?

 

No word on whether Brook agreed to the other demands that Khan stipulated.

For instance, will brook be allowed to use his arms and is it still true that all his punches are to be agreed in advance?
Does he still have to wear the diving boots, have a live ferret in his shorts etc?
