Yeah I get that I’m just pointing it out to the people who are saying he can’t beat khan because of the rehydration clause.
Kell has no other choice. Fighting Yo-Yo Dan or Abdul the cab driver is not acceptable anymore after a 14 year career and certainly not the 7 figure payday that Kell NEEDS at this stage of his life.
The IBF has the same rule in place. Why is it an issue now because Brook is involved? Brook comes in at 170lbs on the night. Khan comes in at 156-160lbs. Why give your opponent any more (size) advantages?
Interesting, if anything i think the clauses level the playing field as at any higher weight kell destroys him. Under these terms its got me well up for this again after, lossing interest. Wonder if ingle will have kell on tbe nasal spray(out of competition obviously ha)
Well let's see the IBF has nothing to do with it. Can you not see the difference in failing to adhere to an IBF mandate means losing a title or an attempt to win a world title. This is no IBF world title fight. Why don't you ask yourself why does Amir Khan want to fight someone who you say is bigger than him? Why bother fighting a bigger guy and dragging him down when he could just fight guys his own size?
I read that and thought “this man is a genius”, that’s a very deep message - nothing can stop the fight. Litteraly, nothing can do it. And if nothing can stop it then imagine if something actually comes up... this deal is as fragile as his chin. Then he said “this fight would make a lot of money financially” and all that genius aura got shattered.
The same could be asked of Brook; why is he hanging around for the Khan fight at 147lbs? Why didnt he move up 154lbs years ago?
I think you’re too harsh on him. He’s just fought GG and Spence back to back. He didn’t have to do that did he? He could have gone all out to preserve his unbeaten record. I’ve never been a big fan of his but I’ve got to give him credit. I’d have liked to have seen him move up to JMW sooner, but obviously the WW division has more named fighters in it.
This seems a blatant ploy by khan to get out of the fight the more i think about it. Why go on sky and say fight agreed when it clearly hasnt been? Khan will claim he isn't to blame for the fight not happening.
It would be very satisfying to see Brooke make all the concessions and then shatter Khan's glass chin. I hate that he's agreeing to the dehydration clause given how big he is, but that's his decision to make. I just want to see Khan get KO'ed again and it's going to happen. Brooke is better than Khan.
He won't lose even on these terms. I doubt this actually makes it to the fight. Even if it does, I reckon Brook will just point blank ignore it. What's Khan going to do, cancel the fight on fight day? No chance. Brook will eat a small purse penalty and get that win he's been wanting for years.
It's now or never Brook is not only tired of waiting around for this fight, but ready to retire. If Khan wants the big money and domestic buzz this fight brings, and if Brook finally wants his grudge fight to prove who is better (we all already know) then both sides need to agree to the **** of the other and get it done. Brook should start dieting down to 157 now, so when he goes to re-hydrate he wont be such a shell of his former self.
