You know it's kinda strange, everyone knows this fight is well past it's sell date but after watching that video and the closer it gets I'm starting to really look forward to it. Maybe it's because of the drought of good matches lately but it could be a good fight. One of the intriguing aspects is almost any result is conceivable , Khan by KO or decision, Brook by KO or decision early or late . We'll see.
Yeah that's my thinking Brook was always an upright fighter but his timing used to allow him to punch either with or in between the other guy as his first line of defense. He had Porter wobbling at times and then just held him to break up his inside work. But if Khan is rattling in 2,3 and 4's and he's just waiting to time the right hand then it could be a hard night for Brook. Plenty of guys, Collazo springs to mind have though that you just need to land one big shot to beat Khan but it usually takes more than 1 to to keep him down. Non puncher's have hurt Khan so Brook has a chance but a guy who's easy to hit and was hurt by a jab in his last fight doesn't strike me as the guy to do it. Regardless of the ability he once had.
Think it'll be really good myself. The say nothing is on the line but i reckon the loser will be in a worse mental state than any loss they've previously had
regardless, Khan got hit by the same punch...and more than once and he knew where he was unlike Brook. Brook loses this fight at the weigh in. Khan gonna tap that ass.
I was piz on the fight like a rainstorm but now I’m interested and it’s because of what you highlighted. There is nothing “special “ happening this month that I’m dying to see and these two boxers are like a nice pair of old blue jeans. You just fall right back into a comfortable zone with them because we know them and wanted this fight about 6 years ago. Im thinking Khan on points IF this goes the whole fight or Special K by TKO
149lbs is perfect for Brook. Too hard to get to Welterweight too small for 154. Khan getting demolished
If Khan's pad work with Crawford is anything to go by, he's lost both speed and snap. Factor in his Z-list chin and he loses by stoppage in a lopsided beatdown, probably after a couple of deceptively good early rounds...
Khan starts fast If he fails to dent Brook he has to weather a mid fight onslaught then take over late fight to win a decision
Yeah, I know they're both more shot than 12-guage but Khan's whole boxing DNA is based on speed, and by this comparison at least, that speed has gone. Like Brook's trump card - timing - seems to have deserted him. But as we all know, shot timing beats shot speed
