Khan vs Diaz

I thought as soon as Marquez took Diazs left hook away it became a different fight and there was only going to be one winner.

Khan has a very real chance of beating Diaz - if Paulie can keep him away with a jab and a 1-2. Then Khan can certainly do the same but Diaz did land some decent shots - it would be a good fight for Khan and would prepare him well for the likes of Bradley who he will probably have to face at somepoint if he keeps doing well

 

The judges felt Diaz was doing pretty damn well until Marquez stopped him. There’s no shame in losing to a hall of famer like Marquez, especially not in a hard gruelling fight where he hurt JMM several times early.

Khan would start out at a fast pace before eventually getting caught in the middle rounds. The body work would mess him up and take his legs away.

Put it like this: Diaz has a resume that puts Khan’s to shame. He’s fought consistent top drawer opposition from Freitas onwards. Khan lost to a never will-be in Prescott. Diaz lost to a pumped up Campbell (who is better and has fought better than Khan can dream of) and HOF bound Marquez in a tough, close fight. In every single fight he’s been in it’s been competitive.

Name one guy Khan has fought who is anywhere near as good as Marquez is.

I'd laugh back, but really? You think the Barrera that Khan faced was anywhere near as good as the competition Diaz has faced CONSISTENTLY?

Let's discuss relative accomplishments and performance at those times, shall we?

Diaz is 25 and turned pro at 16, Khan is 22 and turned pro at 18. Question i ask when Khan is 25 where will he be at in the world stage, and by then will he have a better cv than Diaz?

Cant believe theres some here think Khan would even stand a chance. Diaz is one of the best fighters in the world who has been beaten twice due to cuts more than anything. His fight against JMM was FOTY imo and even as a kinda soft puncher he KTFO Khan. Malinaggi would beat Khan easily too.

 

Kerrminator just to state, that I don not think that Khan would beat Diaz ! Hence the smiley face at the end of the Barrera comment and me calling threethirteen a bellend for taking offence to it :good

 

He's not... I like him but he lacks punch power, he is slow across the canvas, he doesn't bother with roadwork, and lately he's found his level. Campbell utterly beat him at his own game and it's been downhill since.

He's not quite the fighter we thought he might be.

I think Khan could beat him but he would have to take a few. With Diaz' aggression and volume he is going to land some punches however you fight him.

Would be a good fight.

Khan has quick feet and more power than Paulie. If Paulie kept Diaz off him with just a decent Jab and good footwork and the odd straight right thrown in then Khan can do the same it would be a good fight for Khan a good hard learning fight but its one he can win and the blueprint has already been written.

 

Paulie didnt keep Diaz off him though did he?

Paulie just has a better chin than Khan (cant think of any fighter with a worse chin to be honest)

I am of the belief Marquez has beaten Pacman twice now and therefore the true number 1 p4p and Diaz was winning a great/close fight against Marquez up until he was cut. If Diaz had not been troubled with cuts he would be absolutely brilliant. Perhaps he should go see the plastic surgeon that Ricky seen. It stopped Ricky from getting cut so easily.

As for Nate Campbell, Diaz was cut by an intentional looking butt in the 1st round which opened the cut and with one eye he still made it competative.

 

Khan would be obliterated. Its a no-brainer. Malinaggi was tough enough to dig deep when hw was been over powered... Khan will stand there and try and trade. I to would be a brutal loss no doubt.
