always cliche to say no punch is lucky. of course some are, go watch jorge castro vs john david jackson 1, castro was getting pummeled every minute of every round for 9 rounds, looked like he was in a car accident and they were seconds away from stopping it when he landed a winging bomb that put jackson out for a 10 count. garcia vs khan was not some lucky punch
Good fight. But this goes the same way as the first. Khan would put on a boxing lesson then get clipped and won't recover. Danny would stop him again albeit a bit later
Garcia was getting to Khan by the end of round 1 Nothing suggests it would play out all that different Julio Diaz had him reeling down the stretch You name me one Khan fight where he made an adjustment mid fight to win
Khan looked real good vs 2 non punchers tat147 in Collazo and Devon, lets see the new version in vs Garcia/Thurman/Maidana. he probably "makes a mistake" and gets clipped and stopped.
Khan has options should the big two fights don't happen. Fight the undefeated Kell for the IBF at home for loads of money or fight the undefeated Garcia at WW for good money. The easier of the two is Garcia and I can't see the same happening again. This version of Khan is a lot more solid and stronger. I can see a long night for Garcia heading for a wide UD. The guy is good but nothing special. He will lose very soon if he meets any top 10 WW.
Can someone make a good case for Khan earning a rematch with Garcia? Aside from them meeting later down the line at 147 by "crossing paths".
I can. Garcia NEEDS to avenge his own victory! Sure he beat Khan decisively the first time, but...uh...Khan has improved so dramatically that now...uh...that is to say that...um...
Are we talking about the same guy that Herrera smashed? Nah, Khan at 147 under Virgil - pulverises Garcia.
Based on what, give me a break down on how that's gonna happen. Khan is the same guy that almost got ko'd by a shot Julio Diaz in a weight class he's never been just 2 fights ago.
