I agree. I was pretty disgusted when Hart and the rest of the Sky Sports Ringside crew were saying Peterson is a journeyman.

Peterson is a difficult style match-up for Amir, in my opinion. He's just as tall as Amir and granted, you take height for what it is but Amir will be facing a man who will look to do the same thing he'll be trying to do. If there's no head movement with Amir in this fight, then Amir will struggle.

Thing with Amir is, he's so one dimensional at times himself. He's so easy to read. The question here is, can Peterson can take advantage of the technical deficiencies of Amir or will Amir's speed just be enough to equalize what Peterson may attempt to do. That's what I'm interested in finding out.

Just because Peterson doesn't do anything spectacular, people get the image it'll be an easy fight, and by downing Peterson as an opponent, if Amir struggles, they'll be on here saying how Amir struggled and how overrated and **** Amir is, which is wrong. Also, I'm not sure how the judges in Washington are, but if Peterson lands big in rounds, I've no doubt the crowd will be going crazy for him, which could sway the judges.

If Amir breezes through Peterson, I'll be very impressed.

He left to secure a 4th fight with Pacquiao, during the Cold War between the two(GBP and TR).

Marquez is/was only co-promoted by TR. He's got his own Promotional Comp, 'Marquez Promotions'.

I'm pretty sure it was just an agreement for this fight and the one he had before against Ramos.

:deal Colin Hart is ****ing clueless.

Peterson is a very solid world level operator.

  7. Based on what?

He was shut out by Bradley and couldn't beat Ortiz.

Agree here 100% - far too much ring IQ for Khan. Physically he looked pretty good at 143 too

Bradley was considered numero uno in the division, and Lamont still put in a spirited effort. Ortiz was considered to be top 5 or 6 and Lamont fought to a draw..That surely classes him as a solid world level operator.

As Amir said on the Primetime broadcast a hundred times..

    Styles make fights.

Bradley was excellent that night. His inside game was perfect and just because the scores suggest he was thoroughly beaten by Bradley, does not show that he wasn't competitive in the fight. He was very game in there, and was still pushing hard in round 12 to win.

He was KD'd twice in the first round versus Ortiz, being down 3 points in a ten rounder, and to come back and win a draw against one of the hardest punchers in Boxing. That's a moral victory for Peterson itself.

Peterson's got everything going for him in this fight. He's fighting in front of his home crowd, which gives him huge incentive and is fighting for two world titles, along with a good payday on HBO. He can't ask for more, as he said.

    It won't be easy.

Peterson didn't earn a draw, Ortiz bottled it again. Weird fighter is Ortiz.

Also, one of the 'hardest punchers in boxing?' **** off Laz

  13. It will be easy, it's why this fight is happening.

Ortiz is absolute cack, unless the opponent is vulnerable he just quits mentally - see the Peterson fight for example.

He's tough and game, but that's all he is. Most certainly not a solid world level operator. That's a description I'd use for Khan.

Er, he got a draw, however you look at it.

You don't think Ortiz is one of the hardest punchers in Boxing? Really?

What exactly will Khan beat Marquez with? His mouth? Marquez even at age 40 would destroy Khan.
