I'll be betting a lot of money on Kats by stoppage if this goes down. I think we will get good odds.

He doesn't mean literally. He means when it comes to discussing how a fighter will get on in a future fight sparring means very little. There is no winner in sparring, it's used as a tool to sharpen your skills and defense and to bring each other along.

In that video on the first page manny is very relaxed and is not putting a lot of effort into the spar, I hope amir gets knocked out by katsidis who is a true warrior

I initially thought Khan could stop Katsidis on cuts given Katsidis' history, then I changed to a UD. The more I think of it, I'm thinking a late stoppage on cuts could be on the cards again:think. Either way, stylistically at least, Khan should walk this fight and dominate the rounds. Fantastic preparation for a wide-open pressure fighter like Maidana, though.

If the fight happens, I don't see how anyone can complain considering that Maidana is injured and would never be ready for late July anyway. Make the fight!

If Khan beats Katsidis then he shouldn't bother with Maidana. Maidana's shite in reality

Oh, but what about the Boxrec KO%, Dan? He must be good:lol:. I am amazed that the only people who want to see that fight want to see it so they'll know if Khan can take a shot at 140. Considering his talent, I cannot believe the hype Maidana has. Khan-Maidana is the shittest and most uncompetitive fight at 140, IMO.

Exactly pal. Maidana in my opinion is being overated BIG TIME due to the one win against Ortiz, in a not too dissimiliar fashion to the hype Mitchell recieved from the Prescott win :good

I don't think Maidana is better than Katsidis either. Kat cuts the ring off a lot more effectively. That's key against Khan. Katsidis is the typical pressure type, Maidana is really more of a plodder that has very raw power.

Exactly, mate. The Maidana fight is actually getting in the way of much better fights against Bradley and Alexander. After Khan beats him we'll see a shitload of 'Maidana was **** anyway' threads.

I'm not a big fan of the tourney idea anyway as I'd actually like to see how each fighter shapes up against each other. If the tourney went ahead and Alexander beat Bradley, or vice versa, we wouldn't get to see Khan fight against the loser; after all, losing one fight doesn't and shouldn't automatically make a fighter irrelevant, especially if he's just lost against the best in the division and is himself the next best in the weight class.

What part of 'IMO' don't you understand? When Khan-Maidana happens it will be evident that the fight is the most one-sided fight out there amongst the elite at 140. Maidana has got a beatdown coming. **** that fight- how anyone would rather see that fight rather than Khan-Alexander/Bradley is beyond me.
