Havent posted for a while. Just saw an overmatched Salita get his ass buried by Khan. Lets not get ahead of the game here but full credit to Khan for getting rid of this overhyped manufactured hype job in Salita. The next logical opponent is Marcos Maidana and by beating Victor Ortiz's Daddy I think America might grow to really like Khan, if he is successful in that fight, there is no doubt that Khan will be looking at taking on either Marquez or Hatton which would be a payday and a name but I would rather see him fight the winner of Timothy Bradley vs Lamont Peterson. It seems as if Khan could fight all of these undefeated fighters and land losses on their records. Peterson or Bradley Alexander maybe (Tough Fight to call) Anybody else ????? He definitely seemed to be throwing with alot more behind his punches tonight. Good Job. Thoughts !!!
Bring Maidana on no problem, another minor defence in my opinion. Maidana can hit, sure, but he won't handle the new Khan, what will be your excuse then.
How do you know that, he hasn't fought him has he. Jones Jr was supposed to be in another class to Danny Green even if Jones has been shot for years but what happened, dont be so quick to count out someone just because they are not a big name you plonker
I'd love to see HBO's 140lb Tournament with Khan, Maidana, Ortiz, Bradley, Alexander, and the winner of Diaz/Paulie.
What do you mean what will be my excuse, I want Khan to win, Im just saying bring on Maidana as that would be a good feather in Khans Cap. I think Khan would beat all of them except maybe Devon Alexander but we dont know until fighters fight each other. Thats what I want to see, forget talking dream fights I want to see dream fights.
Khan should fight Ortiz on the PBF v Pac undercard Spanking Golden Boy's golden child in front on millions would do the world for Khan's profile Then Hatton at Wembley
That would be awesome and for some strange reason I can see this tournament happening and sooner than we think.
I would pay top dollar to see Khan spank Ortiz's ass on the PBF vs PAC undercard. So many fights out there, Hatton, Marquez, Maidana, Bradley, Peterson, Alexander, if I've left any out its because there so many guys in that weight division, bring on an elimination tournament or something similar to the super 6 I say. It would work with the light welterweights
Slow down people, I think we're getting ahead of ourselves slightly. 70 seconds against a Salita doesn't tell us jack! and it certainly doesn't tell us he has enough to last with fierce punchers like Ortiz and Maidana, or slick and clever fighters like Bradley. It was a nice display, and good way to show people he has a fair bit of pop in his punches. But nothing in there showed me he has indeed fixed up his defence to a world class level, or that he reacts better to being hit. I reitirate, that fight is too inconclusive on his development.
I think the first part of that comment is spot on. I don't want to see him fight Hatton though. Ricky should just ride off into the sunset if he watched Khan tonight. He couldn't cope with the speed of punching, and we all know what happened the last time he came across a fighter with blistering hand speed...
