Roach and Khan are scared of Maidana. They need this to build up a JMM fight.

Maidana isnt ready for a Khan fight. And it seems like he doesnt want the fight.

I have to agree with the "building up" notion being faulty... Maidana isn't some particularly amazing contender for this fight to be a card that needs tons of promotion. However, this is exactly the kind of fight that Khan needs to silence his doubters. He should take it and prove his chin.

It says on boxrec that this fight is happening on the undercard of B-hop Jones in April.

Does anyone know if this is actually the case? I keep getting conflicting messages with everything I read about it.

For what it's worth I think this fight is as big as it can get, Maidana beat a biggish name in Ortiz in a fight of the year contender, so he has a name already. Khan and Maidana have a common past opponent in Kotelnik, and any fight in which khans chin is up against a huge puncher is gonna do well.

    **** me

they try to milk everything as much as they can these days. khan maidana is not a huge fight now and its not gonna be no matter how manny times you put them on the same card fighting **** opponents. it just shows how crap promoters are there ready to fight now so just ****ing let them get it on and move forward with thier careers

let the fighter build his own career by consistently beating good opponents

Hmm, this is odd, they shouldve just named his opponent by now. Their are purse bids already for this fight as well.

Acctually this is a fight that people don't want to see. There isnt much demand for this fight, so Khan may not take the fight. Let me just say this, Maidana is legend in his own mind. The guy is delusional.

Indeed, someone along the lines of Paulie Malignaggi perhaps.
