Maybe Khan could fight his brother instead, bet his fans would still rave about that victory

After the way Marquez performed above 140, I think his trainer knows he is too small to be effective above 135. Marquez had all kinds of trouble with Juan Diaz at 135 because JMM is not even a natural lw, and that was Juan Diaz who is in all fairness, a pretty mediocre fighter. Marquez should only fight at 135 from now on, his frame is not cut out for lww or ww.

Careful now , criticize Khan and you are one of the racists chasing him to the USA.

Maidana is a one dimensional plodder with a bit of pop and whose chin is not the best...I honestly think that he would be an easy nights work for Khan, unlike JMM

Strange move in my opinion. I think Marquez has the beating of Khan.

Easily. Still I think he should have gone for it, just for the honor of being able to share the ring for a round or two with King Khan.

This does beg the question... If it's not Marquez who he faces on May 15th, then who will it be.

He can no longer fight Maidana as he's now signed the 3 fight deal and is signed for another fight. Mallignaggi is out of the question due to Paulie saying he won't fight on a all-gbp promotion after getting robbed.

Totally agree far too small to be even thinking about taking fights above 135

    :deal

    Exactly.

How can someone be accused of ducking someone above their weightclass???

Unless, of course, they hold a belt in that class.

Few months from now divac will be able to make a nice twist out of this, saying Khan is this, Khan is that, which makes is appear that it was Khan's fault that the fight with JMM did not push thru. :patsch

I did not read the article. Just did. Would not want to see him go out on his shield as a stepping stone either. However, I don't think he fears Khan as others have stated in this thread. I was defending Marquez that if he was "Ducking" Khan, he would not have fought Mayweather.

i have to say, jmm's camp is avoiding a fight with khan. There's no other angle to explore to justify such move.

    plain and simple ducking..
