He is one dimensional. No doubt about that, but he is a big puncher. Any big puncher has a chance of KOing Khan. Maidana could easily land a decent punch on Khan and put him down before Khan does it to Maidana. Marquez's punches a far less powerful so he does not really pose this kind of threat to him and he is never gonna out box Khan over 12 rounds. Therefore JMM is a safer fight.

if marquez is too good to be a stepping stone, then how good does that make khan to be the one who does the supposed stepping on?:admin

I didnt know him and his trainer had problems, what was that about?

Also his trainer is an odd dude, he basically said JMM had very little chance of beating Floyd, which I agree but I mean why did he take the fight if he never believed he could win, just for money?

Good. Con should be fighting Marcos now he can fight his arch nemesis Paulie. Bring on JMM vs Valero

I am kind of relieved this fight didn't happen. After the debacle that was the Barrera fight it is of concern for anybody fighting Khan.

As Nacho put it JMM is maxed out at Lightweight and he knows his fighter best. Marquez wants the fight but Nacho doesn't want him to be exploited for the money interests of GBP and Khan. JMM deserves better than that.

Khan should really take on someone from his division, like Maidana. If anything I would have called that closer to a duck.

One little thing id like to add, if JMM looked great against PBF in a losing effort and managed to give him hell, almost like he did to Pac, do you think Roach would let Khan anywere near him?

    **** NO

Its a no win situation for Marquez, if he beats Khan, then it will just be that Khan has been exposed, if he loses, then he should retire. He should fight a big name at his comfortable weight.

well JMM camp have pulled out of the fight, and the reason they stated showed lack of confidence in the camp. i think theres a reason why some believe JMM could be ducking khan. to be a stepping stone, then you got to lose, and that's basically what nacho said.
