Agreed. I tend to have a problem with these catchweight fights where one fighter is smashing on the weight and the other is doing all he can to take it off.

If I was Beristain, I wouldn't have JMM in these type of fights either. His time is very limited now. If JMM wins the fight, it's expected. If he loses, it's the end of his career.

    Big fights, BIG paydays only.

I totally agree that JMM gives this one a miss. It's far too dangerous for him and would probably only end like the Barrera fight did. For me, Khan is going down the wrong path fighting old washed up legends rather than young lions such as Maidana.

Beating old legends prove nothing in my opinion. Like De La Hoya beating Chavez in 1996 and 98....

Why should JMM go from fighting one of the best p4p fighters over the past 10 years to fighting a hot prospect who's looking for a stepping stone?

I don't know what is left for JMM... what else does he have to prove? He could be in it for the cheques, I can't see what else there is for him though...

Whoever says marquez is ducking needs to get kahns nuts out of their mouth. :patsch

A fighter who has NEVER fought at 140, just got schooled for 12 rounds, is at the end of his career..... he made alot of money in his last fight, this fight would make NO sense for him..

NOONE rates kahn at 140. Who has he beaten???? Salita? Kotelnik(paper champ beat maidana by 1 point), or a faded barrera???

LOL i love how all of these kahn dick suckers say marquez is ducking kahn (somone not in his weight class), while kahn has been doing the BIGGEST DUCK JOB never mentioning the possibility of fight tim bradley (number 1 at 140)

LOL **** you kahn nut swingers, **** on a lenged who has nothing left to prove, while supporting somone who is CLEARLY DUCKING THE BEST FIGHTER IN THEIR DIVISION

And you wonder why british posters are despised on this board :patsch

khan will have to find another former featherweight and still avoid punchers at the same time, Marquez is a midget compared to Khan

wtf are you talking about, though. Is that fight able to headline a major HBO card? So he's ducking Prescott to try to fight Marquez, are you implying that?:rofl

hes ducking anyone with power. Name one power puncher he has fought since the prescott loss.......

Btw prescott was the only legit 135 power puncher kahn has EVER fought

Kahn has been feasting off of former featherweights, and light punching fighters.....

the only time he stepped up to a big hitter he got sparked... and that big hitter wasnt even a good fighter....

and you think he deserves to headline an hbo card???? How do kahns balls taste????

At the beginning, I thought you were referring to Mayweather.

Damn, it is hard to get the train of thought when you barely had sleep.

This is like Pacquaio saying no against Foreman.

In JMM's case, it is his trainer who believes that the physical difference will be too much.
