No speed can improve upto around late 20's Manny or Floyd?, chin well 140 might be a better weight for Khan as its a more natural weight for his size.

I know he has not faced no big punchers at 140 yet but he is yet to be KD at this weight. He took Kotelnik's punches at 140 with no probs, but yet he got KD by some 130ers down at 135.

wtf??!?!?! manny and floyd were WAY ****ing faster in their early 20's :patsch

Manny relies on his chin, and floyd has that master defense. Neither relied soley on speed like khan. Also both were putting people away with good power

Khans stoppages used to be a ****ing joke. A bunch of stupid shoe shining were the other guys isnt hurt, he just cant hit khan.

You see, ive actually followed khans career, im not some dumb hater

I disagree I think Manny's speed peaked around 27, 28 when his timing also improved. As you move up in weight you do lose some speed but in Manny and Floyd's case not much.

Khan's timing is improving under Roach now, by 25 , 26 he will master both arts.

sorry, i see were your coming from, but you are incorrect again. The reason why manny LOOKED faster, was because he was fighting in a higher weight class. Hence he looked fast COMPARED to the other guys...

Most people notice a fighters speed in comparison to the guy he is fighting, however when a fighter starts fighting slower guys, he appears to be getting faster.

Its common knowledge, that you peak at age 25 physically speed wise... But you gain strength until you are 30....

Thats why many fighters who dont rely on speed, peak at 30, because they get stronger, tougher, and a better knowledge of the game. NO ONE gets faster at 30 :good

marquez is a top fighter but he's in no business of fighting at 140. in fact 130 is his best weight.

Some good points, yeah its about right you can improve your speed till around 25 but its all about getting the timing right which takes alot of hard work in the gym.

You are right about moving up in weight and looking faster, but we note the speed more because now its got added weight and better timing so its ****ing fighters up, ask Cotto and Hatton even David Diaz.

With all these accusations from the *******s of Marquez ducking Khan......do any of you clowns know how much money is on the table that Marquez has turned down?????

If Marquez can get an easy Katsidis fight for the same money he would fight Khan, its sound reasoning why Nacho would advise Marquez not to accept the Khan fight.

Khan's height and reach definitely presents style issues for Marquez, which is why I see Nacho advising him not to take the fight considering the risk/reward ratio part of it......

I'm speculating now, but when I say reward, Marquez would be taking a significant risk without much reward both financially and legacy wise if he turned out to beat Khan.

When you consider that Khan is not a P4P'er in terms of legacy points for Marquez, the risk may be too much for Marquez sign for such a risky matchup.

You put enough money on the table for Marquez, and I'm sure Nacho will change his tune about the matchup!:deal

I said it a couple of weeks back for my choosing as a Marquez opponent would be.....

    1.Hatton
    2.Bradley

I would like to place Khan at 3rd, but considering that not enough money may be there for such a risky/low reward fight, I'd have to say maybe a Valero fight now that he's a hot item......

.....but I'deally, you'd want Marquez to fight Hatton and Valero fight a name opponent to build up to a Valero fight and make it worth their while financially.

Logical. He has had too great a career to be the guy that moves up and down meeting guys in their weight classes.

The FMJ fight was different in that it was a huge payday and he called FMJ out, but going forward? Guys need to come and see him not the other way around.
