Marquez did very well against Pacquiao, a lot of people had him winning. Which should probably equate to Marquez giving Khan a boxing lesson? Nope, not IMO. Although Marquez fought competitively with the P4P #1 (and even won in some cases)...Khan's style and size advantage at this stage would be too much for Marquez IMO. Khan's people have been after that bout for a year or two, and they know why...his style matches up very well against Marquez at the stages in their careers both boxers are at.
I agree this is just a classic example of styles make fights. Marquez seems to always have the style to trouble Pac, but Mayweather gave him a boxing lesson. Not saying Khan would do a shut out like that but i think he'd be a defo UD clear points winner...that wouldn't leave you guessing who got the decision before it was announced.
Styles do make fights , but even considering the overwhelming reach advantage Mayweather had on Marquez , Marquez did find the target early on , Khan is faster than Marquez with a reach advantage , but he cannot fight on the inside , Marquez is probably the premier inside fighter in the sport today , and i just dont see Marquez sitting on the end of Khan's jab for 12 rounds , im sorry Marquez is better than that , and Khan aint that good :deal Im going with Marquez ...................
Yea he didn't want any thing to do with the fight. And apart from Pac or Floyd no one else around the weight would of generated the sort of money he deserves so kind of ducked which kills me to type on the key board.
in the first half of the fight Khan dominates with his flurrys whilst getting caught with right hands coming in occasionally. As the fight progresses JMM times Khan with ease dominating him, pivoting and stepping back and landing combinations hurting but not flooring khan. A draw would not surprise me. JMM fans will say 8-4 Jmm Khan fans will say 8-4 Khan Un bias fans will say 7-5 either way or 6-6 Pac fans will say 8-4 Jmm so that Khan does not look better than Pac. Highly demanded rematch. Jmm wins a rematch IMO. Imo they could fight at 144 on Khans way up to 147.
At this stage then Khan would be favourite with his hand speed and size, but JMM is capable of pulling it off.
Jmm did have problems with Floyd, and Khan does look to be on the same speed level or among the fastest, but by midfight gasses out. That would be catastrophic vs Marquez. It really depends what gameplan Khan uses. He makes it a.boring fight, carefully picks his shots, uses defense, alot of jabs, Khan by decision. If he tries to ko Marquez, which even Manny couldnt do, he'll have success early, but get stopped or schooled late. Marquez hands arent as fast but he showed his feet are. When it gets time for infighting Khan will be toast. Then Id favor Marquez. Khan has the physical adv but Jmm has the mental adv here. There is not a moment he loses focus. I only give Khan a slight edge because Im giving him the benefit of the doubt and thinking he might still take it to another level. He tends to get carried away alittle.
