That's true, I just don't want it being made as I cant hardly fathom it being a competitive fight. I really can't picture anyone else giving Floyd a tough night, I'm just hoping it's someone else. And I do think Amir can fight, just not at the level yet.

Khan said he wants a go at a Brit @147 after the Peterson fight this winter. He said he wants Floyd w/i the next 9 months.

I only see ONE WW who can generate revenue in GB to be worth Khan lacing em up for, and that's Matty Hatton. Decent enough punch, but easy to hit.

Gotta think this is who Khan was eluding to.

And for those not giving Amir a shot in this fight, you got another thing coming. I'd prefer to see Madaina move up vs Floyd myself and see Khan handle business at JWW for another 2 yrs, but WW does generate more $$$$ fights, and Khan has the frame to grow into a decent enough LMW IMO.
But Khan does have that great jab going for him, and unlike Gatti, he can be sickeningly effective, especially to the body. Nobody tries to slow Floyd down to the body, and I gotta think that's Amir's gameplan.

If this fight happen MARK THIS POST.

    KHAN T/KO 8 Mayweather

khan will never be liked by boximng fans. he's a british muslim. two things people love to hate!

khan has a better chance of beating mayweather than anyone else at 147 apart from pacman.... so just accept that amir deserves a shot. i could understand people not being happy with khan getting that fight if their were lots of other legit boxers ahead of him. but their isn't.

The first solid straight right Khan gets hit with, he'll wobble and back off.

No matter what Floyd says about fighting in the UK, I doubt it takes place anywhere other than Vegas.

Fighting Khan in the UK should be attractive to Floyd. Fights have taken place at roughly 2am before to suit American fans. And I'am quite bored of the 'sit on hands until a big punch lands' atmosphere of Las Vegas for a while now.

Americans might be surprised that Mayweather will get atleast 40% of the crowd support over here, as he's much more respected as a sportsman, casuals are less exposed to his antics and also a lot of people over here don't like Khan much. A bit like De La hoya in Mexico.

I give khan a 20% chance of beating mayweather by the way, he's much better than Ortiz who I gave a 5% chance to. Khan's a bit underrated on here.

Khan is gonna drop that dumb mother ****er

Khan is the most underrated fighter in boxing. Why is Timothy Bradley ducking khan so he cant be undisputed champion at LWW?

For Khan to be competitive, he needs Mayweather to age considerably. If I were his advisor, I'd encourage him to fight him no earlier than Winter 2012.

But I will say this, though. Khan is not any less of an opponent than what Ortiz was. I find it funny how those that are laughing at his credentials now, were the same people that heralded Ortiz as an unstoppable beast only a couple of months back. Sure, he’s got no chance, but why is he any different to what Ortiz was?

Agreed, although the only chance I gave Ortiz of causing the upset was on the basis that Mayweather could age over night (16 months).

The four rounds of Mayweather that was in with Ortiz, would play with Khan. Although I would expect Khan to have a little more success due to his speed.

Yeah, this, amongst other factors, would make Khan a slightly more competitive opponent. He has the things which Victor didn't - a good corner, style, a level head, etc. But at the same time, he doesn't have the things which Victor did - more durable chin, power and strength. So yeah, providing Mayweather hasn't aged considerably (which I don't think he will), the fight will go no different (bar the sucker-punch ending, of course).

Yep, I can see the early rounds going the opposite of the Ortiz bout. Mayweather being more weary of Khan's speed, but then start opening up with the straight right...and I could see Mayweather employing the uppercut a lot against Khan, catching it as Khan overreaches.
