We will probably never know what we would see if Khan actually listened to the right people and performed to his potential. No one can doubt his raw talent
Mayweather can punch, just has hand problems so eased up a bit with his power, but still enough to floor Khan !
I always thought this at the time, stylistically Khan was a nightmare for Mayweather. Floyd would land decent single shots in between flurries but it really is a matter of his power. without going on boxrec, I'm pretty sure Floyd didn't drop anyone after Ortiz but even if he did it can't be many. At the time I'd have backed Khan on points and I still maintain that, though the outcome is dependent on Floyds power / Khans chin.
Mayweathers lack of power is irrelevant. Nearly everyone who knocked Khan down lacked Power. Khan would have been missing and getting tagged all night long. Easy win for Mayweather.
Garcia and Canelo were able to time Khan. Khan's not the master boxer his fanboys want to pretend he is.
Except for Speed, Mayweather excels and is/was better in every other department. How would Khan deal with Mayweathers Speed, because he was lightning himself and hit people when they least expected it. Khan struggled with Peterson, almost lost to Julio Diaz and struggled against Chris Algier. Also a knockout loss to Garcia who isn't particularly fast. Yet people think he'd beat Mayweather? I'll have some of what you've been smoking please! Mental!
