I had a listen to it. Khan said that Mccloskey wants the fight but Barry Hearn his promoter does not want the fight. Also said he will be commentating on Bradley-Alexander fight and wants to fight the winner in the summer. Talked a bit about Bolton as well.

 

The potential domestic world title dust-up involving 140lb champion Amir Khan and EBU titleholder Paul McCloskey looks unlikely to happen after the Bolton fighter explained that the Irishman’s promoter Barry Hearn priced his fighter out of the clash.

The 24 year-old has publicly admitted that he wanted to fight the European champion, but discussions broke down and Khan believes that Barry Hearn is reluctant to commit his undefeated fighter to the match-up on April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

“The McCloskey fight seems off,” Khan explained to Talksport Radio.

“We offered a lot of money, but his promoter (Barry Hearn) wanted six times what we offered and what we offered is three times more than he’s ever earned.

“We discussed everything, but every time the fight got closer, they kept moving the goalposts. I don’t think Barry Hearn wants the fight,” stated Khan.

The WBA champion was speaking on the day American boxing journalists voted his last bout with unbeaten Argentinean challenger Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas in December “Fight of the Year” for 2011.

sorry, i think that last post was misinterpreted. 30% of the crowd would be there to see paul mccloskey in a world title fight irregardless of the opponent.

yes, you will get khan haters going too but they should not be confused with the actual paul mcckloskey fans..
