    not really.

even current, stupid khan can beat almost anyone in the division and will always be able to pick up a belt from one of the alphabet mob

Indeed, but it still doesn't look good when he mouths off that Guzman wasn't worthy and now he's fighting a featherfisted lightweight instead. This would have been an acceptable comeback if he knew how to keep his gob shut and didn't slate other fighters.

I agree with both your posts in this thread.
You are right it is about spending time with his trainer. I would of expected a fight where theres enough to test khan with any new skills he may have learned with Virgil Hunter but not with too much risk. Iv never seen Molina, maybe thats why theyve picked him

Its a poor fight but Khan does need to regroup & rebuild his career, this level of opponent makes perfect sense.

Its interesting that the same Khan fans defending this choice of opponent were slating Brook for turning down Bradley.

Amir Khan has stated that he chose the tougher option for his next contest against Carlos Molina and that he hopes to stage the bout on home soil after not holding a bout in the UK since April 2011 against Paul McCloskey.

The 25 year-old was ironically linked to a return with the Irishman just a day before announcing his intention to face the unbeaten Molina, although ‘King’ Khan believes that the 135lb Californian represents a sterner test.

“I could have picked an easy fight but I’m going to have a tough one next because I want to bring the world titles back to Britain,” Khan told The Daily Star.

“We’re still in talks about where it will be, it’s where it will make most financial sense but I want it to be in Britain for my British fanbase. “

Khan’s first fight with McCloskey ended in sour circumstances when ‘Dudey’ was halted midway through the contest on a harmless-looking cut and a return may have been of more interest to the British fans than unknown lightweight Molina.

One huge domestic bout that Khan has expressed his interest in is a tear-up with former two weight champion Ricky Hatton, who recently came out of retirement. Tthe Bolton man would be keen to secure an all North-West clash with the ‘Hitman' if call upon by Hatton next year.

“I wouldn’t say no to it,” stated the former unified light-welterweight title holder.

It's a **** fight, but I don't get the negativity about it. Almost every fighter on earth takes a soft touch after bad losses, and Amir's no different.

He could go back into world-level, but he's been shown up in two consecutive fights against guys he was widely expected to beat comfortably. so, give Hunter some time to work with him, get him back on a win, then step up the level slowly.

A lot of the anger just seems to be anti-Khan, rather than entirely rational.
