Just came across a video on YouTube, sorry if it's already been posted. Freddie Roach is being interviewed at the wildcard gym and says he would like Khan to fight Marquez or Morales next in a USA debut, but also goes on to say that IF Marquez beats Mayweather Jr. then he wants Pacquiao to fight him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBNDRl9HSbs&feature=haxa_popt11us11 I don't know how serious he is, because I think fighting Morales would be another case of beating up on a washed up legend, whereas Marquez would be a huge jump from domestic fights.
Marquez is someone who really has to be avoided, Khan said it himself that he is not ready for that fight.
He's retired, but is supposed to be making a comeback after "recharging his batteries". Don't know what he's been doing to recharge them, but in a recent photo he made the out-of-training Hatton look slim!
He keeps talking up a comeback. As for this thread then JMM is a huge step up in class should Khan beat Kotelnik and JMM lose to PBF. Would JMM be interested in a Khan fight anyway? Would it be @ 135 or 140? There are so many permutations to consider: What if Cotto beats Pac? Do we then see Pacman-JMM III? :nut
Imagine Khan getting wins over all three? Morales looked shot against Pac the third time, struggled badly with Diaz and shouldn't fight above 130 for the life of him. Marquez has a fair few fights in him yet, but knowing Warren he would wait until JMM had nothing left....
just the type of dirty stunt to get khant a slimey win over the extremely faded eric morales an ali holmes disgusting moment right there hope khantr gets knocked out bad soon
He's talking of a comeback later this year. I'd ****ing hate Hatton if he fought this version of Morales.
If you thought the site of an old out of shape barrera with a massive gash on his head getting flurried the **** out of by Khan was sad, wait until we see Khan-Morales at 140 :-(
As washed up as Morales is, I think he'd have a much better chance at 140Kg against Khan than Barrera did. Don't ask me for a reason (apart from him being my fave fighter of all time), but he does tend to do very well after a year or so out, as was the case in 01-02. Not surprised he has ballooned out, at a wide-shouldered 5'8 1/2" at 122Ibs he looked like a coat-hanger. I suspect he could actually outfox the kid over 12 rounds.
Beating up Morales would be pretty grotesque in my book. To cynically do it once with Barrera is forgivable but to go for a sequel would be Calzaghe-esque.
I'd be on the Khan hate wagon big time if he decided to fight Morales, that would be a disgraceful fight.
