Does anyone think that the reason richard schaefer is offering murray a fight with ortiz , is they want the winner as khans homecoming after maidana:think apologies if this has been covered in another thread.
Excellent! If true, then yes I can definately see a Khan vs Murray fight in Manchester, around April 2011. But that's only if he can get passed Ortiz. Something I doubt very much. Murray won't be put anywhere near Vicious Victor. Also, I would have thought a Khan/Ortiz fight would do better in the US.
If Murray could get past Ortiz, which I doubt, Khan would just have fun with him. I don't think Murray's world class, really, and his rise has been one of the slowest I've ever seen.
The Murray camp wouldn't dream of taking the Ortiz fight, they are way too cautious. Murray has limited skills and relies on his size and strength to wear fighters down.....something he wouldn't be able to do against Ortiz. My guess is that Murray signs with Warren and goes for the WBO and if successful he will defend it a few times then go after a payday with Khan.
Murray won't fight Ortiz anyway. He'll find some old Ukranian to make hard work of. And if he did Ortiz would murder him.
