    Khan vs Ortiz next?

Surely this is the logical step for Goldenboy, they could hype it as a road to redemption for both men and it would give the winner a platform for big fights again. Neither fighter seems to be fulfilling their potential / living up to the hype, so they may as well sacrifice one to get another back in the game.

**** no. Ortiz is a big puncher. Khan cant hang at this level. Either fight euro bums for another 2 years and hook himself up with a new trainer and reunion with Ariza or just hang the gloves up.

This should be in the general btw, sorry. If a mod could move it I'd appreciate it.

Khan has been in with and survived Maidana for 12 rounds who's hardly feather fisted. At the end of the day, it's getting close to cash out time for both fighters and Goldenboy will try and enhance one of their own in doing so.

I thought about this last night, and it's a bad fight for Amir.

Khan would not hurt Ortiz, Ortiz could hurt Khan.

Khan and his whole camp need to step back and re-evaluate him as a fighter and which direction his career is going. He doesn't need another fight against a guy with KO power that Ortiz possesses. He can't step up in weight with that chin against bigger men with even more pop to their punches and I don't think he can go down and not be totally drained by fight night.

One more loss like last night and he needs to seriously consider going into another business.

Khan can beat plenty of elite fighters, he just needs to be sure he avoids fighters with big power, unless they have the speed to deliver it.

Amir would embarass Ortiz's recent conqueror, Lopez, for example.

Ortiz would be a tricky match up for Khan. He's fast enough to land with power, and has good power, but he's also fragile mentally.

Frankly, I have a hard time seeing Ortiz not quitting after 2 rounds that Garcia went through before he broke through. Khan could easily get him before he got caught.

    Pick em fight.
