So khan had no advantages at LW really until he run into Prescott same frame height and reach Ummmm So kell held no advantages over Gavin bizer etc Uummm So Jacobs as no advantages over GGG ummm I get why they do it but then when shyte hits the fan they blame said advantage Can't have it both ways
So you're guessing Pac's decline may have been steeper than Amir's own deterioration? I don't think an argument can be made for him having improved since moving on from Roach. He's been rocked by non-punchers since then, struggling at welterweight before being brutally KO'd at Canelo-weight.
Tbh those claims carry no weight because before Khan left Roach there are interviews with Roach where he talks about how impressive Khan looked against Manny in sparring.
I'd actually pick Pac to win but it's just difficult to place much stock in sparring sessions from such a long time ago.
''Manny and Amir sparred many rounds together at the gym. It was great sparring, great to watch. They both have incredible footwork and handspeed. Amir was only young, but he was still in the process of winning world titles and unifying his division, Manny had the upper hand in experience and ring know how.'' Roach recalls. ''They both went all out, in sparring in my gym we never hold back or go easy. We spar hard. Even though Manny fought at 147lbs and Amir was fighting at 140lbs, usually in the gym Amir was weighing 145-150lbs. He was naturally the bigger guy. At that sort of weight, Amir has never been down before. He never got dropped once in sparring when he was with me. He did great against Manny. At first I was wary of letting him spar Manny, but he begged me to let him and I put him in there, and he did great.'' ''When Amir was sparring at 145-150lbs, he was strong, big, powerful, but still had all his speed, and his punch resistance was good. It was when he had to go down to 140lbs and weight drain himself that sometimes his punch resistance was lesser. But he still took shots from people like Maidana and Judah!'' ''Manny is a legend in boxing and has had an incredible career, but Amir imposed himself more and more as time went on. Some days Manny got the better of Amir, some days Amir got the better of Manny. But Manny never dropped Amir. Amir dropped Manny 3 times in total, in all the spars we had between them in the gym.'' ''I always said there is only 2 guys who have the right style and skills to beat Mayweather - and they are Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan. It will be a great fight.'' he said. Don't know but I would take anything Freddie says with a pinch of salt.
he did have to bulk up to 147 i watched a documentary on it..it actually took him a few month ,he didnt just stop dieting,he went on a bulking programme to put on the weight and yes Porter fought at MW iirc which he could obvs still do but he is a midget ,it would be ridiculous ..
whatever! he was either talking **** then or talking **** in the documentary i watched which showed his bulking regime ...his physique actually changed,he didnt just go to Nandos 5 nights a week.. it dont really matter anyway because you cant put muscle on a glass chin
I stand corrected, after seeing Khan in the ring vs Canelo it was clear he is not a real 154 or 160 fighter, the size difference in the ring was clear.. Watching Khan vs Collazo and Alexander that version and weight Khan is the best.. 147 is Khan's best weight and this is where all the best fights for him are too..
This fight hasn't actually been confirmed, simply Pac and Khan have agreed a split of 30million....but they don't have anyone to pay them that 30million as of yet and some analysts think they will struggle to find that money.
