It wasn't the exact combo being thrown at the time that made Steve Smoger stop the fight, It was the fact that Amir Khan was overwhelming him and looking to unload big combos and there was really no point in keeping Paulie in there, getting beat up any more. Paulie was getting beat up for 11 rounds. How the **** could anybody say that it was a bad stoppage? After being dominated like that? What? Should the fight have gone on? Just so people could watch Paulie get beat up more? What is the point in that? The stoppage was a good call.
Paulie basically backed up on the ropes and KHAN was all over him.Paulie's heart was broken he made one last ditch effort to fight back,albeit really sad attempt- the inevitable was about to happen.KHAN had him where he wanted.Paul no longer made any attempt to get away,the resignation on his face said it all and KHAN was in the process of whoopin him.
