Rees is a very light puncher and gets hit flush alot.

The only thing he'll bring to this fight is more heart than Khan will have had to deal with before.

I can see Enzo C pulling Rees out of this one.

Rees is going to get beaten up badly, worse than Kotelnik

    Painful to watch

Will be interesting to see Khan against a pressure fighter of sorts, to my knowledge he's not fought one yet. Can't see Rees troubling him though, he's inaccurate and lacks power

I'm happy with Rees as an opponent, although he isn't really a puncher he has a little bit of power. And one fight ago was a 140 pound champion. Good fight if it happens next month.

I hope this fight happens. It will be the first time we get to judge Khan's career since the Limond win. Khan should come through with a win. I expect a UD decision after dishing out a big battering but would not be surprised if Khan finds a way to stop Ree's. The fight would be a good guide to judge how good Khan is, if he beats Ree's better than Kotelnik then I will be impressed and I will give Khan his dues.

I know Ree's is built for Khan and has little chance of causing an upset, certainly no KO threat but the guy has good quality and he is a former world champ.

Be surprised if Khan is next for Rees straight after suffering a defeat.

After Rees lost to Kotelnik Warren said he would be out for a long rest before coming back.

Presumably if he were to fight Khan it would be at lightweight yet Rees seemed to struggle to make light welter last time out.

If it was an in-house SN fighter I'd have thought they would have announced it at the press conference they had yesterday.

Michael Gomez is also believed to be on the shortlist of opponents but could just be more name dropping and then they come up with someone we've hardly heard of.

Whoever it is I just hope its a step in the right direction. Khan needs to be tested more.

Yep. SN will name drop Ree's, Gomez and no doubt a few others to get our pulses racing and then go and announce a Stefano Zoff. :good

It is a good fight. Rees has some depth to his record now. Make it at 135 though.

Jeez. Ricky Burns is a bad choice, a non punching super feather who is domestic standard only.

Khan was keen for Rees to beat Kotelnik, think he fancied Rees as his chance at getting a title and this "younger ever blah blah blah" bollocks.

I'm a little surprised if he still wants him, but - it has seemed to get a little personal between them.

Don't you mean he's a good choice? lol .... Oh and Burns does crack a bit he's got some useful stoppage wins.

I actually quite like Ricky but he is a super feather of domestic standard and although you know alot more than me on the subject I do not regard him as being a threat. Many people are asking for Khan to fight someone with a punchers chance and I do not think Burns fits that bracket and he is neither a good tester for what Khan will face when he steps up into title contention. Burns fits the bill for the style and type of fighter Khan usually faces and he really needs to move on from that standard of opponent.

Sorry if I annoyed you Jeff, hope you get my meaning from the original comment. :good
