I've got to give Rees a chance after the way he performed in his last two fights. I'm pretty sure Kotelnik would beat Amir Khan.

If he can run Witter close he'd beat Khan for sure

    nah he wouldnt

look how much space he gave rees.. if he gave khan that much space he'd get outboxed silly, to much pace and energy.. Khan might not knock him out coz kotelniks got a good defence but khan would outbox him.. khan throws more punches than witter..witter dont throw many punches in a fight, he picks his punches.. khans always throwing flurrys. Khan would beat him by a wide UD

a few points who has rees beat outside mbaye, whos performance can only be described as dire on the night? Rees only claim to fame is beating an inept Title holder and he didnt look that great at it to be honest, he ran the last 4 rounds,
khotelnik is no puncher at 140 Mbaye was a bigger puncher and that tells u how **** he was on the night if he let his hands go he'd have KOd rees
khan will stop rees inside 5, the 7 inch hieght advantage tells u every thing u need to know.

Yes but Khan is bigger than either Mbaye or Kotelnik and these are the only class fighters Rees has fought. Rees chin is hardly granite either I mean five fights before Mbaye he was floored by Carl Allen a guy with 5 KOs in 18 wins and 65 losses. If Kotelnik had of fought more aggressively he would have stopped Rees much earlier. This is a clear mismatch no-one thought Khan would blow away Graham Earl in one round (I certainly did not, I was rooting for Earl to pull off the upset) and this fight seems similar to me. I think if Khan is in a mood for a quick nights work this will be no problem. If he wants a workout then it will go some rounds. It is up to Khan to decide how to end this.

Let's not beat around the bush. Khan should be fighting Thaxton/Romanov. This is simply a no lose fight for Frank Warren. He expects Khan to win however if he doesn't then Rees is clearly back in the mix and he gets something out of him.

Rees is still small, lacking power, world class stamina etc so hes a good match up.

Rees is going to get mullered, after he lost to kotelnik in his last fight I wouldve thought Rees would have had an easier one than this, he will get an almighty battering that will probably ruin the rest of his career.
Don't know why Khan is having this fight he should have fought Romanov!
