How many rounds would Khan last with either of these guys? He could maybe outbox these guys, especially Rios for a few rounds but know you he's get caught. Thoughts?
Khan would need to get on his bike for a full 12 rounds against either of these guys. In saying that i think both Rios and Alverado beat Khan. vs Rios Khan would stick to the box and move game plan for a few rounds but then he'd get drawn into a war. vs Alverado. He'd simply get outboxed or out punched if drawn into a war.
khan will tell you he would knock him out yet cant dispatch light hitting lightweights but mike would stop him late on imo rios would just bully him all night long
Khan gets beat by both, I think, but he'd definitely be in with a chance with his speed and movement. His lack of power, defense and ring iq is what would probably let him down here.
unfortunately with Amir it always comes down to that chinny chin chin, and of course his terrible infighting skills but no way is anybody ever "outboxing" amir, especially not Alvarado
I tell you this there is a good chance Khan would slice Alvarados face up bad before Alvarado caught up with him, Rios never seems to mark up
sad thing is we won't see rios or alvarado fight any of the gbp guys anytime soon, what great fights they would be.
I'd love to see him in vs Rios. Would be a very interesting fight, styles would mix well I think. Rios cutting the ring down and Khan's complete lack of tactical implementation and brain.
Amir hasn't got a hope in hell against either of them. His lack of power hurts him the most, it will prevent him from boxing Rios/Alvarado at range.
Khan gets treated as feather fisted. Whilst he isn't going to 1 hit KO anyone his record is better than people give him credit. Looking at his recent fights: Molina - TKO Garcia - Lost Peterson - Knocked him down Juda - KO McCloskey - Stopped Maidana - Knocked him down Malignaggi - TKO Salita - TKO His list just isn't as padded as other fighters KOing bums.
