    Not a bad comeback fight for Khan. He just got knocked out, after all.

    My guess is that HBO weren't too keen on having it as a main event. Their relations with Golden Boy seemed strained, too.

    Was it with GBP or HBO, that Khan signed a three-fight extension just before Lamont Peterson? If it's the latter, I'm guessing that agreement required the opponent to be of a certain standard; hence probably why HBO have rejected Soto and Khan's lot will have to come up with another guy, instead of doing the easy thing and moving to Showtime.

    With the money HBO pay Khan they probably want a better opponent.

    HBO should make Khan fight Matthysse, that way once they scrape Amir off the canvas, they can give him his P45 and concentrate on their new star and proper fighter,,, Lucas Matthysse. :deal

    Decent comeback opponent but not a decent main event. How about Joan Guzman?

    Khan might have to be the opponent in his next fight.

    Wouldn't surprise me if they did try and feed him to Matthysse or somebody else.

    He's not going to be able to get away with relatively safe fights if he wants big money. He's going to have to accept that that's just the way it is across the pond.

    HBO won't accept Guzman.

    Soto is not bad but its 2 guys coming off a loss. Is Alvarez doing a show in December? Maybe you get it as and undercard fight.

    Yup. He might get a semi soft touch for the comeback but thats about it. HBO wont wana back him big time because theyve seen first hand how he can be taken out, hence wrecking an investment.

    If he wants the money and the big TV dates, his opponents after the next one would probably be from a list of;

    Matthyse, Peterson if he beats Judah, the winner of Alvarado and Rios. Yikes

    A level down maybe Provodnikov or Herrera but even they wouldnt be easy scraps

    I know, Khan's deluded ego wouldn't contemplate fighting a fighter ''levels :think'' below him.

    He's in a bit of a catch 22 situation, Khan isn't as big a name as he thinks he is, he hasn't got the option of fighting a gimme as a main event, if he want's to be able to do that, then **** off back to fish eyes and fight in the UK, its that simple.

    Good, Soto has no business at 140.
