    AMIR KHAN is lining up Junior Witter for his next title defence.

    The WBA light-welterweight world champ hopes to face Bradford ace Witter after Northern Ireland's Paul McCloskey pulled out of talks.

    European king McCloskey accused Khan of trying to get him on the cheap.

    Khan's manager, dad Shah, confirmed: "Junior is on our list. He's an ex-world champion who lost a split to Tim Bradley, who Amir hopes to fight. So no one can criticise his pedigree."

    Khan wants to have the fight confirmed for April 16 in Manchester before he heads to LA next week to begin training.

    Witter would be too stupid to take the fight.

    Realistically it is a great fight for him to take but he won't take it.

    he had an offer to fight khan before but instead decided to travel over to america to fight devon alexander. pretty dumb move.

    I don't think Witter can do 10st.... he looked in a bad way before he even left for the States prior to facing Alexander, and he was probably between 140 & 147.

    With being so inactive I wouldn't be surprised if the next fight is around the 150 limit.
