Hey guys, was the shot that wobbled him initially a shot to his temple? Does that wobble a boxer more than getting hit on the chin?
depends on the guy but yeah it does send some guys into cloud cuckoo land getting hit there....Khan is one, Haye has also shown a glass temple. Cliff Couser too.
A shot to the temple won't hurt as much as a shot on the chin but will do twice as much damage, because it will totally **** up your balance and allow the opponent to either finish you off (as yesterday) or at very worst give you a heavy KD and have you on ***** Street afterwards. Prescott must have done his homework, because both Limond and Gomez (lesser so) hit him with a looping/cuffing left hook to the temple - the ref did him a favour against Limond by forgetting what number came after 6, whilst Gomez was too shot (prime Gomez 2002) would have dived on him and cut him in half with body shots.
Cooney was taking Holme's shots to the chin very well. As Holme's said, when he hit him on the temple he just started to go.
That is why the Chelsea goalie has to wear a headguard, because he got a kick to the temple. Had that been on the chin he would have lost a couple of teeth and that would have been that.
A shot to the temple makes you dance like Elvis in Khan's case. Even Margarito has been shook by a shot to the temple, quickly recovered though.
Khan has a glass temple then. Everything on this kid is bustable. Margarito took a very heavy blow to the temple from Daniel Santos and his leg straightened out and he became unsteady but recovered almost immediately. Khan looked like he stuck a fork into the toaster and then decided to go play on some power lines like they were ****** bars.
