Khan, "we want Peterson to fight on the inside"

Khan isn't going to suddenly be an inside-fighter, they will just add a wrinkle to negate that aspect from the fight. I am more a fan of Peterson than Khan, but Peterson had 3 advantages in the last fight. He was fighting on home turf, Khan had no productive answer for getting crowded, and Khan underestimated Peterson going in. All of those advantages will be gone in the rematch.

Interesting to admit he's never worked on the inside game. Interesting
and pathetic at the same time. Guess he has no interest in becoming
a complete fighter. Truth is, he needs space to punch. If he tries to bang with

Peterson is dangerous on the inside.

Even Bradley started fighting on the outside once Peterson starting blazing his guns on the inside.

 

Khan won't fight on the inside, he'll try to negate Peterson's work on the inside with uppercuts and clinching. Looking forward to this bout, Peterson will be full of confidence going in to this having made Khan literally run from him. And Khan may have doubts.

 

khan fights on the outside, likes to throw alot of straight punch combos and then move away. normal slugger comes on blocking with his face trying to chase kahn, aint gone work like that. peterson a boxer / slick cut the ring off and understood how to get to kahn coming in slipin and slidin his way in like you suppose to do. khan will have a few things here and there but he's been fighting the same way since forever dont expect to much of a change for kahn. peterson will remind him why he should move and then kahn will go back to being kahn.

 

People forget Freddie repeatedly told Khan in training to keep away from Lamont. (as he knows lamont is strong)

But as we found out Lamont decided to keep immense inside pressure which is almost unavoidable.

So now they will be working on making the most out of lamont coming in with his head down and trying to wail in the body shots.

 

This is what i have been thinking all along...I w ill not be supirsed one bit if that stupid cocksucker Cortez is the ref for this fight.

Khan isn't going to turn into an inside fighter overnight but there are things he can do to deal with infighting instead of pushing.

I don't understand why ppl are being so negative of Khan addressing his weaknesses!

 

For a guy who has no inside game he hasn't done bad for himself at all.

The problem here is Lamont is/was a gym rat ever since a young age; Khan was hyped after winning the silver medal at athens and once he got KO'd lots of Brits wrote him off. He's won titles in 2 weight class divisions so far. Tbh he should fight for himself and not the fans.

If he is gonna clinch in the rematch then so what even Vitali and Wlad do that. He's admitted that he has faults which is good. Freddie doesn't teach inside fighting. Gallagher taught him the tricks of the trade cos that's all his fighters are good at inside fighting.

I really think Peterson will win the rematch. It's up to Khan to prove the haters wrong (and theres lots of them; don't be fooled by the poll).
