Khan has not really changed at all under Hunter but this isn't Hunters fault. We can see Hunter teaching him alot of stuff but Khan clearly can't execute any of it in a fight. Perhaps it is too much to take in and Khans not as thoughtful about his work as Ward.

I fear Hunter has too much to offer Khan. Khan may go the way of Pac who slowly but surely improved fight on fight with Roach or he may go the way of Jermaine Taylor and be thick as ****.

Nazim would be more basic. Nazim is good but not shockingly so. He is working with talented, experienced pros where they need a few tweaks and good advice. Nazim would not revolutionise Khan like Hunter could if he listed BUT I think Nazims tweaks pay me adopted better. Just like he did with Mosley I expect one of his tweaks to be about less bouncing and staying in position. This is something I consider pivotal for Khan and would help him alot.

Hunter deserves more time for sure. You can see from the training videos that he has alot to give and a few months isn't enough but maybe Khans looking for a quicker fix.

If anyone is to expect significant changes in Amir, it'll happen over years, not weeks or months.

The problem with Amir is his mental intelligence, and by problem I don't mean the guy is stupid or ******ed, it's just that he can't honestly assess his own performances or the flaws/style of the opposing fighter. To be fair to him though, not everyone can do that. Fortunately for Amir, his talent and work ethic mentality is what has got him this far.

Bradley, Gary Russel, Garcia, Mayweather, Broner, Malignaggi, Ward and the list goes on and on.. You only need to listen to an interview and they know how to honestly asses themselves and break down their opponents. Some fighters have that but don't have the physical attributes to execute what they know they should be doing, Malignaggi for example.

Amir talks a lot about how he understands boxing now because of Virgil, but I'm sure Virgil has picked up that he still doesn't understand the full meaning of what he's trying to say because Amir still doesn't have the ability to place his shots and adjust in the ring. I think that though, just comes down to his level of intelligence and the early years of his life where he was trained in a particular manner, whereas if he was trained by Hunter when he was starting off, then Amir may just have been a different product. The only real way Amir can change at this point is to commit himself to Boxing and spends the next year or so in Virgil's gym and learn, but he's put himself in a bad position where he's now hindering with the likes of Josesito Lopez, Ortiz and Garcia.. all of which will pose big problems for him and that may just not be a good thing, because whatever he may gain won't be executed until he really grasps a full understanding of patience and placing his shots.

Personally I think 2013 will be the last of Khan's career. I don't see him having a good one and I think it's a big mistake on his management's side as well as his promoter's side to put him into big fights. I also think if Hunter allows him to rematch Garcia, then I'd consider that a disappointment because if he is what he's cracked up to be, then he should straight up tell Amir that if he rematches Garcia, he'll end up losing. Hopefully, Virgil will tell Amir and guide him right so he can have as much learning time as possible so his brain kicks into another gear where he can process the things Virgil says.

Sorry about the jabbering, I was just killing time with this.

Personally I think Khan will have a good 2013 and win both his fights, second fight being Garcia who I don't rate too high, what he got and a left hand? Khan was foolish in the first fight but he won't be in the rematch.
