At this point in their relative careers this fight is an absolute mismatch. Khan is way to fast and way too strong for an Old Marquez. I think it is good for khan's resume at this point to add him, but this isnt going to be a competitive fight now that Khan has been greatly improving under Roach in the USA with USA sparring. Consider that Khan has faster hands than PBF and even throws more punches.

Poor marquez will not make it very far in this fight and will go down hard.

I don't know how anyone can be supremely confident of Khan murdering anyone when he has a chin like that.

JMM's a class counter puncher, I wouldn't be surprised if he had Khan in some trouble at some stage in the fight.

    That's if the fight happens.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch

I nearly couldnt reply to this post because I was laughing so hard.

Glass Jaw Khan wouldnt be able to last 5 rounds with someone who punches as accurate as Marquez.

Just because Khan has wins against absolute nobodies in his last fights means he can mix it with ATG's ?

    Jesus....

After he decimates Marquez, Khan should call out Paul Williams. He'll break the Punisher into pieces.

I disagree. Khan will not 'murder' Marquez. I think this as being a touch counter-punching opponent for Khan, which could put him into trouble.

I think you're underestimating Marquez too much.

A skilled counterpuncher like him, couple with his ability to neutralize the quick hands of speed demons, and not to mention his pin point accurate combinations. Yes he may not be as quick as he once was, and he's not a dynamite puncher, but he's certainly got more than enought in his weaponry to demolish Khan's shaky chin.

Khan's in for a very tough night.

You dont think Marquez is an ATG ?

3 weight world champion including winning 18 out of 24 rounds against the current P4P #1 Pacquiao

    Casamayor
    Juan Diaz
    Barrera x2
    Rocky Juarez
    Derrick Gainer
    Manuel Medina

    etc

I think Marquez is a top 75-100 ATG and 1st ballot HOF lock. I dont think we can take anything from the Mayweather fight as it's a fight that shouldnt really have taken place :good

If Khan underestimates JMM, it is at his own peril. If he is as overconfident as your post makes you seem, he will go down, and hard.

I've never seen a great fighter with more susceptibility to a one punch knockout without an accumulation of punishment with the exception of an old Roy Jones. The shot from Prescott that put Khan down early would have bounced off Mosley's chin. Khan does not take a punch well constitutionally - he lost complete control of his motor functions because of the way his body is wired; there is nothing he can do about it to increase his punch resistance.

As a result, no matter how young and skilled he is, anyone who can hit accurately and powerfully is a threat. Pac's early malnourished body shot losses don't compare to a complete neurological shutdown from a short hook, nor do flash knockdowns that buzz a fighter temporarily. That was something different that had nothing to do with an accumulation of punishment - an endemic inability to take a shot on the chin. Unfortunately, any fighter will always have a punchers chance against khan even when completely outclassed unless he fights more like Mayweather and takes no risks, which is not his style.

I agree. It's definitely an interesting fight and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way. Khan will instantly become a big time fighter over here if he is able to beat JMM. Respect to him for taking this fight. To say that Khan will walk-over JMM is ridiculous.

JMM has to be a slight betting favorite going in IMO.
