And I mean skill wise, star power wise, and resume wise, some people on hete are ridiculous comparing the two. Khans ko loss to prescott alone is enough for argument, and im not hating on khan at all I like da dude hes fun to watch nice speed good combos nice body punching, cottos jab alone is a greater asset than any of khans punch,i also think khan is going to develop more and get better
No decent analysis. No decent breakdown. No decent explanation on why he will 'never be on the Cotto's level'. Not even going to bother.
What Amir does have over Cotto is that he's a young guy working with a HOF lock trainer, who has already mastered his craft. Cotto was being trained by his uncle and was loaded with technical flaws because of it. Speed is probably the most important athletic trait, Amir has loads of it, and Cotto does not. I see Amir being better than Cotto if he continues to be dedicated to his boxing.
Ok so I slightly exaggerated. But really, what makes Cotto so great and amazing? Don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter. He's a solid all around fighter. But will lose to any great boxer, or any great slugger he faces. And don't even start with Yankees talk. I'll school you in anything that has to do with that.
Chill. When Cotto was 25 fights in, he had wins over the likes of Torres, Bailey, Corley etc. Khan, 25 fights in, has wins over Maidana, Malignaggi, Kotelnik etc. They're more or less head to head, and Khan is currently going in the correct direction. Whether he achieves as much as Cotto, maybe not. I guess we'll have to wait and see. He's only 24 years old, and he's only had his second fight in the US. Time will tell.

I am. But to me in that fight, Mosley didn't fight a smart fight. Not until the later rounds where he saw how easily his right was landing. I give Cotto credit for the victory, no doubt. But if they rematched right after, I would have put money on Mosley.
I think he will, not that thats particularly amazing to be fair. He'd beat the current past prime Cotto right now
