He’s said that he wants his next fight to be in the U.K. though. Also looking back Hearn praised his move going in to the jungle to get more casuals onside. Looks like this could have been in the pipeline for a while.

What about Frankie Gavin he is fighting for the IBO Welterweight title late February although not on the Matchroom roster nowadays in a recent interview he indicated that he still had a relationship with Hearns ?

I wouldn't call it the easy option. The reality is the most profitable PPV platform for a fighter in the UK is Sky Box office and the 20% cut Matchroom takes. The biggest exposure you can get as a fighter is on Sky.

Khan's biggest payday out there is a fight vs Brook. That fight is whole lot easier to make if both are signed to Matchroom.

That is the simple reality.

 

As horrible as it sounds, if it’s going to be a UK based tune up fight then I wouldn’t be shocked if Eddie announced Khan v Burns.

 

It is painful watching Skippy Burns skipping away in all fights now Toemaker style against fighters he would have beat easily 5 years ago.
