£100,000 - thats a massive ammunt of money for Thaxton, Danny Williams didnt get that for Tyson, and Judah didnt get that for a unified fght against Spinks.

Elle, boxingchat is (apparently) Andy Ailing who I believe works for free / has very very close connections with Sports network.

Just wondering how much of £100,000 do you think Thaxton would be left with after tax is deducted and other expenses such as manager, trainers, etc?

Also wonder how much Khan usually gets for a fight given they appear to have turned down an offer of around £300,000.

If this 'boxingchat' is credible then perhaps he was right about Warren asking for the 50/50 split - odd after all thats been said and done.

Well he'd lose his tax and all his fees. The two fights who earnt less that I mentioned above were both figures BEFORE deductions too.

Ive not seen the thread or what boxingchat mentions...

I would imagine they've turned it down partly as Warren would want it as a SN show, not as a Hennessy show.

    IN dollars maybe, not gbp.

Certainarly Judah got $125,000, so circa 65,000 gbp, without doubt.

Boxingchat is a total bellend mate, read some of his older posts, what a clown. As far as I see he's Warrens lapdog, the snitches bitches. Comes out with some amount of shite, thinks he knows it all, but knows **** all. In my opinion of course:good

So £100,000 after tax brings it to £60,000, then all his other fees and fighters expenses - I assume he would actually end up with a lot less than half the original amount for his efforts.

Its even been suggested he could end up with nearer a third of that!

Everytime someone mentions an ammount a fighter gets it'll be before tax & deductions. It wasnt only thaxtons highest career purse he was offered, but a british title record (outside HW division). I think this pretty much sums it up...

Its the quote you've just posted above!

Only the bit saying "Warren asked for the 50/50 split so would obviously have accepted it" appears to have been conveniently edited out.

I went to search for the post after reading your post! I felt what I copied pretty much summed up how I felt.

As I said before, where will Thaxton be in 6, 8 ,12 months time - exactly where he is now with3 or 4 grand extra. Where will Khan be? A world away.

Basically you copied what suits your bias.

I recall you saying " would you be giving Jon Thaxton a 50/50 split?"

Yet when a supposedly credible source says WARREN asked for this you edit this bit out and quote the rest.

Im surprised that there was a 50/50 offer as claimed was made by SN, and I'd like to hear the inevitable response from hennessy promotions regarding the 50/50 split and why they didnt take it, ofr me ludicrous and Thaxtons boat may have sailed.

It is all a bit odd.

My understanding is that the Board ruled the purse would be split 50/50 and as Hennessy were happy to go to purse bids they must have been content with this - it was Khan's team that withdrew after all.
