Khan would make easy work of Ortiz, much like Floyd did.

I don't think Khan is quite ready for Floyd yet, but I think he puts Ortiz on ice in about 8 rounds.

His chin is much better than advertised by Zakman, so let's get that out of they way.

He is nearly as fast as Floyd, and wouldn't have the same size disadvantage that Floyd did against Ortiz. I would love to see this fight, although I think Khan would take it without much problem. The difference in skill level is just too great.

Khan vs Ortiz for early 2012 as Amir's debut at 147, winner gets rights to Mayweather for late 2012

I agree. Khan will move and fire that strong, fast, rangy jab until ortiz
becomes submissive and then the deadly rights will follow. I firmly
beleive then Amir not only hits harder than fraud, but might become
    his bullet.

I think Khan would hit harder and quicker with better timing that Floyd ever could.

I believed Ortiz would be a tough match for Kahn, but Ortiz can't sustain pressure for the full 12 rounds like a Maidana can. He's just too weak mentally, as proven against Floyd. He'd probably wilt against Kahn as well.

Not only to mention Kahn at this point has become a man and matured quite alot over these past few years. Ortiz after last night is still a kid. The head butt was so comical and over the top, and then his reaction of acting like some kid who knew he did something wrong was just as pathetic. If he did his homework he would know Mayweather will take advantage of you if your hands are down, especially if you foul him first.

I agree that Kahn handles him easily. Kahn is the better fighter all around, and much stronger mentally.

Ortiz needs to prove himself first and beat someone like Alexander before he gets a shot at Khan. Khan would put a total clinic on Victor.

Khan has not even fought at welterweight yet.. He has a good size frame but imo is not as big or as powerful as ortiz. Khan deffo has the body to do 147lb but it wouldn't surprise me if he was knocked out by someone like ortiz cos his defence is not great

This. It almost seemed like he let Floyd tag him out of some kind of guilt. Cant understand the kids mentality.

Ortiz would still take Khan. Floyd was winning pretty much every round, but he wasn't making "easy work" of Ortiz, and got tagged pretty good.

Khan's skills don't compare to Floyd's yet, and Ortiz is a tight-guarded aggressor with decent timing and a big welterweight punch. Eventually, I think Khan would be able to beat him. Right now, Khan loses the fight by eating too many shots on the back-foot.

:patsch I would be highly surprised to see victor back down at 140lb fighting the likes of Alexander to then get a crack at khan.. Ortiz is massive, dare i say massive for a welterweight so i doubt he would get back down to a weight where he struggled.. Ortiz is still a good fighter and i wouldn't discount him just cos he looked ordinary for 4 rounds against floyd. I see victor staying at 147lb with khan coming up and if a fight was made with ortiz for khans first shot at 147lb then ortiz would deserve it.

    Agreed.

Khan kicks Ortiz's ass, his speed and boxing ability wins it for him. In fact it wouldn't surprise me at all if Ortiz is his debut fight at 147, he needs to make a statement to Floyd, and this could be the fight in which he does it.
