WTF are you people on about? The Khan fight was NOT a PPV in America. It was on a tape delay before the live Ortiz-Berto fight.Khan is not a PPV draw in the US,surely you guys realise this. The fights were on regular HBO.:deal
Er....what the **** are you on about? I never mentioned anything about the Khan fight being on ppv in America. I was explaining the difference between how the two ppv industries work and why primetime should have an accurate number far quicker than (say) HBO or Showtime would.
Team Khan Primetime have confirmed 50 thousand plus buys so far not including the virgin media numbers yet
So for the sake of about £50K-£70K, they squandered the exposure to about 800,000 viewers and a large portion the marketable value of Khan Vs Bradley... Amazing.
Box, you were proved wrong. You said they would fail on Primetime. That you would be surprised if it got 20-30K buys. 50K so far.
50,000 is still appalling. That's less than a million and, after taxes, there will be little left. Prime-time will probably do better than khan out of it. That just suggests how much of a minority interest khan fighting is. Appalling.
And Khan gets half right? That would justify rejecting Sky in terms of the money (probably not long term though) What are the virgin media numbers and how much could they be? Can someone explain this stuff :huh
What taxes will leave "little left" out of £750,000? The numbers arn't great and Khan should have stuck with Sky but tf I didn't know better I'd think you were trying make this sound worse than it is on purpose....;O)
