Khans biggest problem is not his chin or defense

    It's his lack of power.

Apart from the 1st round bodyshot on Maidana I cant even recall the last time Khan even hurt anyone.

Khan seems to be able to land his shots at will, the reason people are able to be in a position to hurt him is because he has no power to keep them honest.

Khan lands at will repeatedly on everyone he's fought and it doesn't deter them coming after him to me this suggests Khan is a bit feather fisted.

If I were Virgil working on improving his power would be my #1 priority.

No it's his chin? Did you see what he did to Judah? Plus 3 of the 4 guys who really got Khan are respected for their power.

He caught Judah relaxing his stomach Judah didn't see that punch coming wasn't ready for it.

Seriously Khan is going to go nowhere unless his improves his pop.

When he's landing at will over and over and having little effect on his opponents you have to say he lacks power.

Lack of power didnt prevent Willie Pep from being one of the best ever.

Khan's problem is his glass jaw nothing else.

Well of course if he had knockout power it would help but Khan don't stand a chance against Danny with that chin.

Khans chin is pure china! When you have a chin as bad as Khans it's going to hold you back no matter how good you are!

No, it really his chin. Now mentally he lacks freedom. He needs a chin implant.
You are right though, he's lacking in power.

Khan moves his feet too much when he punches. Takes everything off his shots. I've honestly seen improvements but it would probably take a full year and a half before the guy is ready again for world level. Too bad GBP is going to cash out on him this winter.

Chin, chin, chin... I would argue its a combination of shitty instincts and an overly offensive mindset that gets Khan in trouble. He is a dumb fighter basically.

He looked no better last night to me, Virgil couldn't even be arsed getting in the ring between rounds.

Khans major asset is speed and the combo's he used to throw, Virgil has neutered him, throw one jab at a time and don;t get in a War, he nearly went to War last night and if he had he would have been KOed.

You can't teach a chin and you can't teach or make a fighter punch harder either.

His chin, defense and mental fragility are still his biggest problems but you are right, he can't punch hard enough to get anybody's respect either. Diaz said he never hurt him, a career lightweight who has been KO'ed a number of times before. Garcia said it after he stopped him, he can't punch, his punches don't hurt. He relies on throwing fast, flashy punches, he never really even tries to sit down on any of them for fear that if he plants his feet even once, he'll expose himself and get blasted out of there.

I have been mostly a reader of this board for some time. However, the opinions on here seem pretty biased against Khan. Is he a pound for pound elite fighter? Probably not. However, it seems like a guy like Bradley wins fans when he was getting rocked way more (way more in his last fight) than Khan was in last night's fight. And I could name numerous more fighters that get praise for the exact things that Khan gets dumped on for.

This is boxing. People get hit. Khan is a flawed fighter that is capable of fighting competitive fights that are truly exciting. If it was easy to not get hit, then everybody would be boxing professionally, right? Give the guy some credit. He goes in there and wants to win. He wants to improve. He's dramatically changed his approach to boxing recently. Maybe it will be to his detriment or perhaps it could pay off later. Again, I think he at least deserves some credit for admitting his flaws and trying to adapt.
