Not got a problem with him boxing for Pakistan, (even though he was born in England) if him and his family had just gone and done it instead of bitching & blaming other people for his shortcomings. Not at all. Idiot. Fool. :nono
His dad has reacted in a way which most fathers would. Dissapointed that his son couldn't represent the country which he's son is born in. Where is his 'family' bitching and blaming? Your the one who bringing the race card into it.
say he turns pro later down the line. Is he still going to be fighting under the pakistan flag? Probably not seeing as their is no money to be made . Lewis was used as an example of someone who switched sides. But he actually got raised in Canada for many years . When Khans brother turns pro he cant now fight under a UK flag ,which is a major marketing f'ckup for the Khans . If he did he would just be seen as a mercenary.
I dont think he really wants to be fighting at the Olympics for Pakistan....this is for the Commonwealth I think to get him some exposure "He also said he hoped to turn professional after October, so there was no prospect of representing Pakistan at the London 2012 Olympics, saying "it wouldn't feel right".
of course not. he's fighting for pakistan because he's not picked for uk. he wants as much exposure as possible so he can make his mark. once he's exposed, of course he'l come back and fight as a british fighter because he's british.
What is this all about - he can't even get to the quarters in his weight class, of course they shouldn't be lookin at him.
to be fair if your born in england how can you choose another country to represent if you dont make it in your own. what a load of ****. if thats the case can us brits borrow usain bolt for the 100 mtr sprint...
At first I gave a ****. Now if he's fighting over there then I think he's obviously just not good enough for the GB team. I mean it's not like Pakistan's great boxing facilities and legacy will be what's enticed him over there.
How good is Haroon, ive only seen him once and didnt have enough viewing time to make up an opinion???
No one is bitching and blaming. His dad is dissappointed thats all. Khan played the race card because it was true. Have you ever been to a khan fight? Where there was a huge proportion of British fans shouting racism towards khan. If you hate to hear it, go and see it to believe it. He's pretty good but not on Amirs level. Why not? He's trying to build his name up and the olympics the perfect oppurtunity. Borrow Bolt? His country wants him to perform for his country, why would he want to represent anyone else? Haroons situation is totally different. I suggest you go and reas the article again.
