This is very true. I am, in general, against the idea of being able to represent multiple countries, if he wanted to represent Pakistan he should have made that clear before finding out he won't make the British team.

Still, you can't blame him for making the most of his options.

    Amir yes but Harron no.

However he would be a foreign fighter trying to take away a medal from a British Representative so of course I hope he gets beat :good

Also I think it's a shame that he's using Pakistan now (after he hasn't made the British Squad) whereas he made no claims or had no intentions of fighting for them before. You shouldn't be able to pick and choose your nationalities like that :good

I dont know why the kid and his Dad keep winging about not getting picked. The simple reason is he is not good enough. Many other am's have beat him. I just wish they'd drop all this crap about never fighting in UK again. If he had been performing and proving himself as a class act, he'd get picked. Good luck to the lad though.

I agree with that. I think it's classless how some guys use another nation as a second option.

I'm sure Daniel loves going into '80's bars and jigging away to ''Ain't Nobody'' with his virtual microphone :nut

Its a fact of life / sports though. These guys have careers they want to progress and "moving" countries can help a lot in a lot of circumstances.

You shouldn't but that **** happens all the time. Look at the England cricket team that played today, half of them are South African.

Tyson Fury wanted to box for Ireland at the last Olympics after Price got into the British squad ahead of him. Berto boxed for Haiti.

Look at all the top "German" boxers, Abraham, Huck etc. These guys make these decisions to better their careers. Sad but something we have to accept in this day and age.

Yeah, I suppose it would help him financialy. Being a former olympian, he'd get more publicity etc but it still annoys me, the fact that some poor kid in Pakistan will lose out.

I wonder if he is going in the Pakistan team because he is good enough or because of who is brother is?

He's said he won't represent Pakistan at the Olympics as it wouldn't "feel right". Just the Commonwealths. I'm guessing he hopes he does well at the Commonwealths so as to impress the folk at the ABA and get himself in contention for Britain's squad at 2012.
