Would be hilarious if we had Khan-Hatton on the Khan-Hatton undercard.

The title would be: Family Feud.

Haroon's going to have to put lots of weight on though

This doesn't apply to the Khans.

Also, before you get on your high horse, you might want to check British communities in foreign countries.

Like with regards to Icemax's comment. Just because it goes on in other places or in reverse doesn't make it ok. it's wrong both ways

I'm not sure why you quoted my post, I havn't said people shouldn't feel its wrong or discuss it

I've just said its a fact of sporting life....:huh

(Unless you just wanted to use my "Fact of life" line as a catchy lead in for your post?)

Of course Daniel. I wouldn't bother posting in this thread if I didn't have an opinion. I'm just pointing out that Harroon is only doing what a lot of athletes are doing these days.

Yeah but this is just his way to maximize his profile. You can't really think of it in terms of betrayal. He wants to win the Olympic medal. If he wins it he wins it for his future resume. For them its just the opportunity in winning a medal rather than going against Britain.

if you gave harroon the choice, he would choose to fight for britain than pakistan, but he hasn't got that choice, so he's taken pakistan. if i wanted to achieve the highest merit in the sport i love, amateur or pro, then i would want to do it for my country, england, but if i couldn't and had another country i could perform for, then i would take that country. what can i say, desperate people do desperate things. haroon is desperate to achieve.

OK, last night I arrived at BBC Five Live to find this story in the papers and online. I've not read this thread from cover to cover, but here are the facts.
Haroon lost in this year's ABA at a school in Manchester in March. Fact.
The man that beat him is NOT in tonight's final. Fact.
The two finalists tonight are not part of the GB squad. Fact.
Selby and Yafai are in the GB squad at his weight. Fact.
Yafai won the ABA title last year and is younger than Haroon. Fact.
The door is still officially open to ALL boxers at bantam. Fact.
If you want a bad selection tale by the men with blazers then google my Frankie Lucas stuff.
This is not a stitch up. Fact.

    Adios.

    Bunce has it spot on.

    Yafai looks a great prospect.
