Khans career is f***ed... A long way back

  1. Oh yeah, no doubt about that. The shot that finished him was a glancing blow, but he was all over the shop after the left hook and never recovered. Still, I'd have more faith in a guy that goes into a defensive shell when he's hurt as opposed to a bloke that just swings like a nutcase. Surely at the level he's at/wants to be at, that shouldn't even be an issue?

I found it pretty tough to watch. I like Khan, building bridges between communities and all that (despite him being pretty much hated on here!). Feel quite sorry for him to be honest. He's like a really, really, really ****ing stupid child. Nice enough, just dumb as a plank of wood.

I find it hard to have sympathy for Khan, simply because he talks about himself in delusional terms.

He is not a superstar, he is not a P4P top 10 fighter and he is not going to be a legend.

A good world champion? yes, but he is just like many other world champions, he is not special and is not going to be special.

If he was a little more humble and realistic then i am sure he would be much more appreciated in the UK.

I can't help but thinking when watching Khan turn up at fights over the last couple of years and giving his "opinion" on fights is that he comes across as nothing more than an inbred moron that believes his own hype. He's surrounded by idiots and leeches who lick his arse. That doesn't help his devolopment. Also not having Roach around, don't know why this time, JCC jnr?

His heart wants to fight, his legs want to fight. But his legs tells him to GTFO of here. I am a huge AK fan, but he is too brave for his own good. It is a VERY VERY long way back. On the plus side is there any boxer atm whose fights creates this kind of drama? Though that is not always a good thing as we can see.

This fight will surely hit home with his mindset and delusions. Im pretty sure his family will talk to him about having one more home fight and then Khudafees (bye bye)..enjoy the fruits with his wife!

No power and no chin, not a good recipe for a fighter.

He's still young so he can comeback from this. It is however, a long, and bumpy ride to get back to the top end of the spectrum.

That was a hard hit tonight. I really hope Khan doesn't end up like Enzo :(

    Jim Kelly,
I have tried to like him and I did for a while, I like many others followed and supported him through the olympics when he was a 17 year old kid and thought he was a well grounded, polite young man with a bright future.

it all started to go wrong for me when he almost refused to fight John Murray and John Thaxton because he said he was "above domestic level" and his delusional attitude rolled on from there...

I hope he is ok after the fight because he took too many huge shots for my liking but hopefully this time around he is humble, I am just expecting the headache to go and then "lucky punch" quotes and Khan blaming the ref for an early stoppage.

maybe you're right about his family but i have a feeling Freddie Roach might tell him to call it a day sooner rather than later.

    What a tit.

Khan head butting, pushing again, and given every benefit with ridiculously strung out formalities after long counts.

I know, I do not think the people around him help his public image to be honest.

Maybe I have it wrong, maybe Khan just listens to idiots like Saj day in and day out and started to believe the crap they came out with.

I checked Saj's Twitter and couldn't find any negative comments about Garcia or excuses. This was all I found on the fight...

"Don't care what u haters got to say or think.. U care what I say that's why u follow me.. Avcourse we upset but were proud of our champ @AmirKingKhan and will always stick by him 100% you win some and you lose some, he's bounced back before and will do it again! He showed tremendous heart.. congrats better fighter on the night won"
