LoL and Jack most people get KOed by the punches that he took. How about Ortiz for starters? No no, his chin is worse. Can't possible be better because Maidana's punches were so powerful he made him quit. How about Khan just has much more heart...

    We'll see about that.:bbb

IMO, Khan's chin is still as suspect as ever. He dodged a bullet tonight. Next time, he won't be so lucky.

I bet he thinks Lennox Lewis got a suspect chin because he was KOD twice.

How about Tyson Zakman do you rate his chin.

I am not comparing there chins too Khans but want the "educated" opinions of the chin checkers.

You have to say this because you are absolutely obsessed with Khan and his chin, but no one with a glass jaw as bad as you hyped Khan's as being takes the kind of shots he did from a big puncher and not go down, let alone not get KO'd.

You're a one trick pony on this board, so it's entirely predictable that you wouldn't give Khan any credit for showing some true grit and toughness tonight.

But the rest of us are laughing at you Zakman. Hah, chin checker my ass.

Can people finally get off Alexander's nutsack. He landed that uppercut once! He has a 60% KO ratio, he's limited as Kotelnik showed, that uppercut is like his meal ticket.

Which would work if I've always been biased towards Khan. However, I mentioned his chin on ESB before he even turned professional. I was saying how bad it was for years and how it would prevent him from being world class. I thought I was right after the Presscott fight but, as the thread title says, his chin has improved. There's no question about that.
So the jab he took which put him on ***** St. against Presscott was harder than the huge right hand which hurt Khan last night? Even before round 10, Khan showed his chin has improved dramatically. I'm not saying he now has a great chin or anything, but it's certainly improved.

Are you going to keep repeating that until Khan is knocked out again?

And Khan didn't dodge a bullet. If that was the case, it would have been a shut out where he didn't take any good shots. However, he took the 'bullet' on the chin and fought back like a warrior.

There's absolutely no question his chin is better now. I'm not sure why you can't give him some appreciation for 1) Fighting a knockout artist despite the glass chin you've attached to him 2) Not running during the fight and 3) Taking his best shots without going down.

Khan is tough, But in some cases it doesn't always pay to be a "Badazz" when you have the skills to simply outpoint the majority of fighters inside the ring.
    (Think Meldrick Taylor)

Amir proved his grit last night, But Roach should make Khan avoid those types of exchanges.

To be fair I thought Khan would win this but i wasnt sure if he could take Maidanas power punch's but he proved me wrong.
The only answer I have for his loss and previous carrer knock downs were due to being weight drained must be something to do with it.

I don't think it's much about his chin. I think it's more his conditioning legs that were strong enough to hold him and his movements that helped reduce the punching powers. He can definitively abosrb more punch than in the Prescott fight. No question. But I still think it's not an iron chin he has, but one that is good.

    Yeah I agree with this.

Khan took harder shots earlier on in the bout, than the shots that had him in serious trouble later on...in my opinion. He impressed me again. Although his defense is nowhere near as good as it could be, especially when he is under pressure, and under a barrage of punches.

Good gritty performance from Khan, and Maidana. How he got up from those bodyshots and pushed the pace in the latter rounds, I will never know. Great bout to finish the year off.
