I really don't think his chin was 'bad'. I put it down to Amir not having his man strength.

It was his conditioning, his sparring, his weight which was the problem. A chin can't be 'improved'. There's no possible way of that happening.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

How many warnings does he need?

Youre obviusly a big fan, Khan has the heart of a lion, but youre watching the fight through serious rose tinted glasses if you think someone thats blatently cheating, is warned....continues cheating....gets a point deducted and keeps cheating right in front of the ref, doesnt deserve a point deduction.

How would you feel if Peterson punched Khan in the stones every time Khan pushed him...and the ref did **** all about it?

Rules are there for a reason, if Khan wants to fight like that in a bar brawl-fine but if he does it in a boxing ring, he should expect to be punished...simple as that.

    Cant wait for the rematch!

Its not the shots to the chin that troubles Khan, Its shots to the temple and top of the head, I think that it was Macklin that picked up on it last night on commentary as well?

Yep, he needs to NOT prove his chin.

Compare their careers at the same time. What was Hatton doing? That's right defending his WBU belt at home. Was Hatton ever involved in a FOTY.... No need to answer that one. :yep

There is a lot of room for interpretation when it comes to rules and especially taking points. The ref last night operated well outside the norm. I don't know the last time I saw someone lose points for pushing.

Pushing your man off from a clinch and low blows are in no way comparable.

Poor refereeing, no question in my book.

The Kostya Tszyu tear up was a contender for fight of the year, IMO

The more he rises to it the more people will go on about it.Its daft really,he got knocked out in a sport where that is the pretty much the whole point.Since then he has taken decent shots from big hitters(Maidana)and been ok.Getting knocked out happens in boxing, people would not watch if it did not.

Funny thing is Khan isnt an exciting fighter to my eyes, a standup fighter who flurries, but his fights are very exciting. I think tis more down to his deficiencies then anything. Ie getting a beating every time he in on the ropes.

With the step up in weight Khan's chin has improved a lot.
He took some flush shots against Peterson and Maidana.
His inside game is very bad however.
I worried for him anytime Peterson was in close, he is like a magnet for an uppercut in close yet he does not seem to work that much on this part of his game.

Peterson basically copied Maidana's gameplan of pressing and walking down Khan.

The worrying thing I found was that Khan doesn't seem to be able to keep these guys off him, although his chin has improved with the step up in weight I don't think he has the power to stop these guys coming forward.
Time after time Peterson was caught with sharp little flurries but he kept coming forward knowing when he was in close Khan has no defence inside and it was a risk worth taking if Khan cannot warn him off with some power.

They should get hopkins to teach him some tricks, would be the best money team khan could ever spend.

Rules are rules...he got warned about continually breaking them, and continued to break them right under the judges nose...more fool him!

Which rules do you think its ok to break in a boxing ring?...and why have any rules at all then?

Good refereening in my book, Khan was clearly cheating, and im shocked that anyone is surprised by him getting punished for it, after shitloads of warnings.

I wonder how many on the British forum would be complaining or even questioning the ref if Peterson had been deducted the points for cheating...not many i'd guess.

Khan is exciting because he's fragile. Has a low boxing IQ. And fights on instinct rather than intelligence. His game plan is the same for every fight. He likes the bravado and being dragged into a fight. What should have been an easy night at the races turned out to be a laboratory of pain. Very Margarito-esque.
